Last night I made Teriyaki Bowl. Why do I have to choose another dinner plan? I already made one yesterday. Did my whine voice sound loud enough for you? Dinner might be risotto, but I'm not sure. We'll have to see what the guys want.
What's on your menu?
Have a great day.

I have a chicken thigh defrosted for tonight - I think I am going to make something Italianish with it. Chop it up and cook with tomatoes, onions, capsicum and garlic, toss in a couple of olives and cook some pasta to serve it over. Simple and yummy. scrapmaven - risotto sounds good - it might make my dinner plan tomorrow. I also keep thinking I should try the chicken teriyaki bowl every time you mention it, but never quite get around to it.

It depends how hot it is today. I want to make the baked tomatoes in the oven again. The tomatoes I bought have not one but *2* stickers on them. WTF were they thinking? You need UNDO to get them off. I just cut them off as they tear when you try to get them off. I forget where I got them so I can't take them back. That is unacceptable that the stickers won't come off without having them rip in pieces and leave white junk on the tomato. I know it's petty but seriously? Two stickers?
I made chicken last night hamburgers so I don't know what we will have tonight. My dad might want fish again tonight. I will look at the flier and see what's on sale.

For our dining pleasure this evening we will be enjoying fish. We have tilapia in the freezer and it defrosts well in the microwave. Along with this culinary masterpiece we will be having cauliflower, grapes, cantaloupe, and watermelon. We are almost to the end of the cantaloupe and watermelon for the week, I will miss it.
Happy Wednesday Everybody!

I gave dd#2 the option of choosing dinner tonight and she said "Whatever!" So tonight is grilled chicken with baked home fries and Caesar salad ... like it or lump it

It's only supposed to be 97 degrees today, the lowest for the next 10 days. Friday and Saturday are supposed to be 110. All our plans for DS's visit will probably be scrapped because of the heat. But tonight we're meeting friends for dinner at a restaurant whose specialty is crab and lobster! Guess what's for dinner???

Dh out of town. I want, and am going into town to get, a bean burrito. Not at Taco Bell where the beans are reconstituted nonsense. At the local dive that has mariachi music.
Thanks for the thread.

The family has I think agreed to spaghetti and meat sauce. That is easy. I love it anyway. There will be vegetables of various types and requisite salad.

I made a vegetable heavy pasta salad this morning with shell pasta, broccolini, carrots, cauliflower, grilled corn, celery, green onion and the last of the grilled sausage from a couple of days ago. I already had a bowl for lunch and will happily have another for dinner.

This is not news I wanted to hear. Jeez. For tonight, I have some ground beef defrosted. Being as (1) I'm lazy and (2) it's hot, I'll probably just make chili rice. The 8yo will complain (he's starting to turn into Picky #3) but he can go to town with the soy sauce. My free Blue Apron box (thanks, mom!) just arrived, so I guess we will enjoy steak strips with garlic butter tomorrow, or else honey-pepper chicken with farro. Can't wait to try it out.

Tonight we had Pastor Ryan's (from Pioneer Woman) Chicken Tika Masala. It was discussed in an earlier thread this week. It was so dang tasty! Will definitely have it again. Didn't do the homemade naan, but had store bought whole wheat naan with it. I seriously could have licked the plate.

I met a friend for dinner. The place we went to is fantastic, but you'd never know it from the outside. It's tucked in a small space between a gas station and a convience store. It doesn't look too promising as you drive up, but it has wondeful Mediterranean food. I had the Greek chicken (with enough left over for lunch tomorrow) and brought home a steak and baked potato for DH.
Very full now, must go stretch out on the couch.

I need some suggestions for tomorrow as I am milling it through my head now. I want to go to a rally about how to administer Narcan to people who overdose. It's put on by a few organizations and they are giving out free kits to attendees. I don't think it's a bad thing to know how to do.
The problem is dinner tomorrow as the event starts at 4:30. I don't want to stay for the whole thing but I'll be there for at least an hour I am sure. DS is going away for the weekend and Dad will be golfing. It's just me for dinner. I kind of have it on my mind tonight and I want it clear in my head what I am going to do. Sushi?
Another reason I am thinking about it is I have to get my hair done (grey) and the grocery store is across the street from the hair dresser almost. I could pick some up then. Do I want sushi again, though? I also know I hate cooking for myself.
Ideas?
