We have a double front door. The only time I put up wreaths is at Christmas- I put up 2 matching ones. I would like to get some new ones for other holidays but don't want to buy 2 of everything. Would one look funny? What do you do?

I put a wreath on each door. It would look unbalanced to me if I didn't.

I just put it on the door that opens. It is good enough for me. I would not want to buy or make two of a seasonal item like that.

Just on the inner door. The only time I hung a wreath on the outer door, some bugger nicked it.

I do two as I just couldn't handle the asymmetry. I've seen oversized wreaths that are actually split down the middle so that you can still open the doors, but haven't actually used one.

Yes!
Unless I just do lush greens.

I would a wreath on both doors, because of the symmetry.

My neighbors have double doors and they always do two of whatever they use to decorate those doors.

Almost always 2 wreaths. For Halloween I have 2 different decorations (a wreath and a scarecrow made of felt), but same theme so I think it looks fine like that. Perhaps if you could find 2 coordinating items it would be less expensive. I have found some coordinating seasonal things at Shopco if you have one near you.

I haven't seen a house with two doors in ages, but i swear I've seen decorations on just one door. I would be tempted to put it on the door that doesn't open, to avoid scratching during opening and closing of the door. Anyway, if I were you, I would buy two Fall wreaths, but only hang one for a few days. See how you feel about it when you come home and see it. If you're ok with it, return the other one. If not, hang it.
