Fox gave it coverage on Saturday. I know because I was watching their coverage of the hurricane (I thought they had the best coverage on Saturday). As I was watching, they had a split screen. Hurricane on one side and Berkeley on the other. They did that with a few stories over the course of the day. Little Kimmie and his missile over Japan was another story they were covering, which of course I pay attention to since my son is in the Air Force. All the radicals on the left and right need to just stop the BS! I'm over our country being a shit show! Put your energy into helping people instead of playing the I'm better than you are game! We all bleed effing red! I bet not a soul in Texas, that is helping someone to safety has asked "Hey are you a liberal or a conservative?" before they help them into a boat. They help because they are awesome human beings trying to help other human beings that are in a bad situation. We all need to get an effing grip and realize what is important.

There is no justification for what the Anarchists did. Violence, not in self-defense, is deplorable, no matter who does it. I'm glad Pelosi denounced it. Berkeley is a powder keg. ITA.

Yeah, no MSM carried it. Except ChiTrib and WaPo and NYT and LaT and NPR and Chron. But, yeah, other than that.....

I think that antifa is a radical extremist group. Although I am absolutely against facism (I hope everyone is), I do not support most of their ideas (including their extreme anti-capitalist views). I do not support any kind of violence and think it should be prosecuted to the maximum degree.
I also think it's members are in it for the warped sense of belonging it gives them, a warped sense of "purpose" and an EXCUSE to use violence (that they can justify because it is against something as horrible as facism).
I condemn ANY violent act they perform and certainly don't need them to defend my rights...

I would have liked to have read more in the article about exactly what happened, rather than focusing on how the Democrats didn't say anything. That makes the article slanted, rather than reportage. Anyway, I hope they arrested those fools for their disgusting behavior. Did they? NO!! That was part of the problem; the police pretty much did nothing. Your statement is 100% false. The police absolutely arrested people (13 by most accounts). Your slanted article may not mention the arrests, but other reliable sources have.

My understanding is that everyone is supposed to speak out against violence by either side. And you'll find here, that most if not all of the democrat/liberal peas do and have spoken out against violence and have done so-freely, unprompted, and willingly. I realize (based on your OP) that's not what you were going for here.

Dems silent
I've searched but haven't seen anything written about this here. Where is the outrage?ETA...Nancy Pelosi actually denounced them. About the only time I ever anticipate saying "Yea, Nancy". Yes, because the majority of US citizens and the media have not been preoccupied with something else the last few days. (Sarcasm, of course they have.) I guess maybe some people on the board think it might be the right thing to do to take a break from the constant political sniping and maybe focus on the truly horrendous happenings in Texas. I did actually read about this is the mainstream media but since I don't start political threads I didn't bring it here, so rest assured it has not been "over looked". And ETA: yes, i am against all violence, including this.
