I am curious if anyone has compared the ATG to the EZ Runner Grand. The ATG has long plagued me with the way it rolls out and changing the tape. I have a bunch of retreat dates coming up and I don't want to haul an ATG or buy a bunch of small runners. You Tube had a video that demoed using the EZ and changing out the tape cartridge. It looks like a cinch to change out the cartridges. Whatcha think? Attachments:

My friends who have it love it. I think the tape is pretty expensive (compared to the ATG). I think HL sells the extra tape (40% off). The lady who taught me how to load the ATG and make sure the tape was on the correct side of the roller did such a good job that I haven't had problems.

I tried the ATG and hated it. Just could not get the tape in right. I got one of the EZ Runners and really liked it. But the cartridges were 2 to 3 times as much as the ATG refills. Went back to the ATG and learned to load it. Now I love it

I tried an ez runner, not grand, and hated it. It's been a while but I recall having dispensing issues. Then I caved and bought the ATG - it took a while to get used to but I love it now.

I hated my ATG when I first got it! Too big. Too cumbersome! Same issues as most with loading the tape! I could never get it right! It really took me a long time to get used to it, but now that I have figured out how to load the tape and got used to how bulky it is, I really like it! I tried buying in bulk when I first got it, but I had issues with some of the rolls being defective and by the time I realized they were defective, it was too late to do anything about it. So now I buy the refills at Michaels with a coupon.

I have an ATG gun that I bought years ago off of ebay. I don't know how to do the refills so my hubby has to do it for me each time. I got all excited about the EZ Grand gun until I just looked at the refill prices. Wow, $7-9 per roll? That is crazy!

I got all excited about the EZ Grand gun until I just looked at the refill prices. Wow, $7-9 per roll? That is crazy! If you make sure that the tape is going in the direction (so it looks like) a 9 (bottom of the nine has to go towards the first roller) AND that the sticky part of the roll is on the OUTSIDE/RIGHT SIDE of the tape before you snap it onto the left side of the gun, it always works. If you get a wonky roll that has the sticky part of the tape on the wrong side, it messes it all up. I swear it is easy if you see it done correctly. People try to load it so that it looks more like a P and that is when frustration starts.

I haven't used that exact model but something super similar. It worked nice and was definitely easier than the ATG. The only reason I didn't buy one myself is because the refills were way more expensive.

I would wonder about all the extra plastic packaging of the EZ Grand one. I fully admit I can never remember how to refill my ATG, so when I need to, I go to YouTube and find a video demonstrating how to do it.

Well, I bought one at HL but they did not have any of the refills in stock. I wanted repositionable tape too. I am going to return it since I need to be able to use a coupon to justify the purchase. Back to my ATG.
Thanks for the advice!
