Thank you.
Access to my area is being restricted. You can only get there on a registered boat, I'm told.

I first saw that a few days ago and Facebook shared it then. It might be time to re-share.

That's terrible. Thank you for sharing a visual. It makes it easier to get a grasp of the magnitude of it all.

Take a look at the map.
I have family that lives in Corpus Christi, Austin, Houston and SE Texas right on the border with Louisiana who were all getting massive amounts of rain for days - AT THE SAME TIME.

This graphic helps bring it in to perspective as to the impact. I didn't realize how much of the population was in that South East portion.
I'm also freaked out about how many counties there are in Texas and if you are like most states, I imagine you had to learn all of those with proper spelling and location when you were in grade school.

I didn't either, until I saw this graphic and an article by Buzzfeed. One of my friends from high school lives in Wharton. The pictures she has posted of the flooding on her Facebook are gut wrenching. That's the best way I can describe it. Save

It's unimaginable, truly. Will the aid get shared across all the areas? So heartbreaking for everyone affected.
