Hi ladies. This is my first post here so hello! I'm reaching out because I think this network of people might be able to help or have info. I'm wondering if anyone out there knows of a place in the Houston Area that would be accepting craft supply donations.
I realize there are more pressing immediate needs for these people but I know there must be some crafters out there that lost everything and at some point down the road it might help.
I have lots of supplies sitting that I need to pass on and I'd rather donate them to someone that lost everything and was affected by this tragedy.
If you have heard of anyone personally affected or have heard of any organizations that would accept them please let me know.
Thanks very much.

I would imagine that type of donation would need to wait until the immediate needs of shelter/food/water are met. If you can hold on to them for 6m or a year - then perhaps try contacting a LSS or big box store in the area to see if they know of a crafter in need if you can't find one through here.
But until people are back in safe, dry, mould-free housing - any such donations are just a storage and distribution hassle for whoever receives them. I know you mean well - but it's too soon.

We have some refupeas from that area who if they don't personally need it may know who does when people get their lives back.
There is a refupea on the NSBR board who is a scrapper who just lost everything in a house fire in Texas. Maybe you can reach out to her.

Nice! There's a post about a house fire on NSBR, I was wondering a similar thing.

Thank you ladies! I will check the NSBR board for sure. I appreciate the tips. Seeing so much devastating loss and the amount of rebuilding needed and now with Irma coming too its just heart breaking.
