I would love a monthly spot to check in and see everyone's beautiful creations! I bought new Brother PQ1500 last fall and hope to learn to do FMQ on it.

I haven't made a rag quilt but I have a big shot pro and the Go rag quilt die for when I do. I know there's no way I'd be able to do all that cutting.

I saw a cute rag quilt on Pinterest that used two different sizes of the width of fabric so that the rag part was in strips rather than squares. I liked it because it seems easier to see the cute prints in larger fashion and probably has a bit less cutting.

I'm here! I sew and have done a couple of quilt tops and one small quilt. I love talking about everything related to sewing and quilting too!

Oh, I'm so excited to find you all here. After Biscuit left 2peas the quilting thread was never the same. I hope she finds her way here. Oh man, I really put my foot in my mouth there. I'm not saying you all won't make it great. Geeze, I better quit talking while I'm ahead.
I've been quilting for a couple of years. I've been a sewer for many many years. I just finished a t-shirt quilt for my son. Hated making it. Hated, hated, hated. But it's done now. He's 30 and the t-shirts are all from bands that he liked in high school. They were well worn, even stained, t-shirts but that's what he wanted. To say the quilt is ugly would be an understatement but I think he'll like it. LOL

My oldest DD has asked about me making her a T-shirt quilt. I am not sure if I want to undertake it or not. I have sewed for years but rarely, if ever, with knits.

I have sewn for many years and went through a period where I made most of my own clothes, even lingerie. I despise sewing on knits. T-shirt quilts are easier if you back the portion you will be using with a lightweight fusible interfacing before cutting to size. Still a pain.
You did good with the quilt for your son. My daughter would love it. She's at the age where everything has to be black. I'm sure he'll enjoy the memories.

I'm here! I love all your quilts. You did great with the fabric choices XX. I really like your blocks!
I'm working on a tee shirt quilt, too. Mostly all I've done so far is to gather up all the kids' tees. But DS graduates from HS next year and I want to have it done for college. He's the type who will want something like that to cuddle up in. I'm also hand piecing a Dresden Plate quilt, but it's slow going. I need new glasses--I guess my eyes are getting old. I'm about half way done with the blocks and will probably machine piece the rest just to finish it up. I spent so many years hand piecing during all the soccer, baseball, ballet and gymnastics practices that I hardly know how to piece on a machine any more. But I'm quite sure I can pick it up again!

I am here, but haven't done much lately. I am hoping that this summer will allow for some quilting time.
