Hey Peas... I am having issues cutting out a spider web and spider I downloaded from the store. Whenever I try to resize the web to the desired size, the size changes all except for the center holes (spider web cut outs). I tried to group/ungroup. Each web opening seems to be it's own thing so I am having to move each one separately and try and figure out A... Where they go and B... What size they need to be to be cohesive. I am ready to pull my hair out and I am not that advanced with the Cameo. Hope it makes sense. Is there any way and can make it one big file so that when I resize it, not just the outline of the web and spider change?

Select the whole spiderweb and try "Make compound path." That way you should be able to change all of the spiderweb at the same time.

Yep, compound path should fix your problem.

I am having the same issues with a window I downloaded from the store. All of the openings in the window move independently and when I try to go to make compound path, it is gray and not black so it cannot be selected but the window cannot be moved at all as a whole. This is so annoying!!! I even selected release compound path in hope that I could select make compound path but nothing is working.

Will it let you group it? That will also work.
I have noticed that sometimes I have to hold down the shift key and click to select each section, before it will let me group, make compound path, or whatever, but if make compound path doesn't work, I just group it.
If grouping it doesn't work for you, tell me the name of the design and who the designer is. Or the design number if you can find that piece of info. If I have the same file, I will see if I have the same problem.

That would drive me batty! There was a post on a SIL FB page that suggested contacting SIL to let them know the design was defective.

I've had an issue with a shape being defective once. I reported it and it was fixed relatively quickly. I can't recall the exact situation because it was so long ago, but it does happen!

It's true that a design can be defective. I had it happen once. When I downloaded it and tried to open it, I was told that the file format was not supported. I contacted Silhouette. They gave me a credit, but it was a file I wanted, so I was kind of disappointed. Not sure if the file was corrected and offered again. I don't remember which one it was.

Select it all and go to group. Pretty soon, grouping and making the compound path will be second nature to you. It takes time to get used to manipulating cut files.

You can use the command Control A to select everything on the page, then right click, group. You might be missing a part when you are trying to group.... it could be in a lower layer and isn't getting picked up when you try to group.
