And because I hate bringing anything political to a non-political party... let me back that post up with rainbow numbers add-on, yes please! I am such a sucker for numbers in general but I really love when I get good color options for them!

I am such a sucker for numbers in general but I really love when I get good color options for them! Thank you, Amanda!! I appreciate this. I am getting tired of seeing politics invade my happy space (scrapbooking). I will add: I like the 2021 add-on. I will use it on my Project Life title page. I am still looking for a good quote card for that page. For 2020, I used the card, "We were together, I forgot the rest." I am hoping the upcoming Strong kit has something I can use.

Ali has an email questionnaire and if you fill it out, you get 20% off. Debating on using it on the OLW class (would make it $40). I think I'm just unmotivated by everything right now but it seemed like a ton of questions. I'm just salty. Youre not alone, friend. I started it and then realised I couldn’t be bothered. Too many questions!

There's a post on the Craft the Story FB group asking Ali if she's moving to a new platform. One response included a statement about not bringing "that here" and that others are moving platforms. I feel really dense, but what is that about??? I've assumed it's in relation to various platforms removing a certain someone's access - but I can't work out how that relates to Ali It is people hair flipping off of FB because they have booted Trump. So they expect everyone to follow them, with their ridiculous outrage 🙄. Because they choose to leave FB but think that businesses have an obligation to follow them someplace else and serve them. I am seeing it in multiple groups where I am on FB as a whole. Yes, some may be political, but I’ve seen several crafty groups moving to Mighty Network, recently but prior to the events of last week. I think they prefer the control and feel like it may have better engagement (and fewer algorithms to deal with) than fb. I have yet to jump in though...one more thing to have to figure out.

That's all I have.... and apologies for opening a chink to politics with my question... I appreciate the quick answer and let's appreciate the goodness of those rainbow alphas as AmandaA pointed out 👍💐

So look forward to more of the same in the future. *eyeroll*

Mighty Networks are nice and very easy to use, but you have to remember to go there. The advantage of the Fbk is that most people are already there every day for some reason or other. I joined Tazhi's but very quickly forgot to check it once I turned off the annoying "someone hearted your comment" notifications in my email. In the long run AE might choose to migrate because there are options for class hosting on the same platform as well as the community pages, but I would imagine all that back end stuff is handled by SC so maybe not.

There was more than one, and one in particular I saw early this morning had devolved into politics via the OP coming back and taking it there. I think it may have been deleted and the only one I still see (that was more benign) had comments turned off.

I took the opportunity in the survey to mention the “tweaks” I would like to see are albums that don’t fall apart.

I used to like her, but I have a hard time liking people when they become well known...it's a weird quirk of mine. She's on like EVERY DT right now. I can't imagine that not burning her out in the near future when combined with her personal business ventures. She's probably on so many to get her name out there so she can grow her personal business, which I can't fault her for, but yeah...the everywhereness of her pretty much killed my interest in her several years ago now. I have the same quirk and thats how I feel about Tazhi. Loved her stuff til it was in my face everytime a DT and Class was announced. And I don’t need any incentive to start new hobbies to spend more money on as well....

I did the survey to say why I haven't subbed in years and also the album quality is crap and that I would not recommend the kits to people unless there are changes. And I also said that Ali taking a step back from constantly engaging is a good thing and I hoped to see some interesting designs. They are going to regret sending it to me.

I thought she was referring to Mighty Network, especially with some of her DT having groups over there. One (two?) of the women posting specifically said she was looking for Ali on Gab and some other platform that I don’t remember (all I can think of is MeeMaw but that’s not it. It had Ms and Ws in the name). But definitely framed in terms of “with all of the changes I’m leaving Facebook and Instagram”

I barely interact with the social media I do have. I’m definitely not interested in following people to various new sites. Say what you will about Facebook, but all my groups are in one place.

Talk about entitlement And right after Ali said she wanted to step back from social media a little bit. Dang some people have balls

I've never heard of Gab but I know that MeWe is an alternate social media platform that's popular in conservative circles. Like Parler Lite. ETA: Not my personal cup of tea, for the record, I've just heard of it and knew what it was.

At some point though Ali did say that she would include the preview of add-ons in a blog post in addition to posting on FB, and I think that’s a helpful development!

I would’ve thought that would’ve been worth doing all along. A lot of people don’t use Fbk and she *has* a blog. why would she not post there so she can reach the most people?

I know I miss out on a TON of things (in general, not just her) by not being on any social media but that is my choice and I guess my wallet is happier that way.

I stepped waaaay back from PL last year - I was working on it every weekend, without fail previously. In 2020 I just focused on documenting the photos I did take in a 6 x 8 format, sometimes in pocket pages, sometimes without. I also did WITL, a coronavirus mini, a thankful 30 which is unfinished as of now, because I’m working on my DD. I did the first DITL and while I’ll probably play along in 2021. I still have plenty of stuff to do that. I canceled my AE subs, and switched to KP. It was a relief to get off the AE treadmill of more, more, more.
The point of my ramble is that I’m very satisfied with my memory keeping choices, and even though I wasn’t so strict with myself, I came away from 2020 with plenty of scrapped memories, which is the goal, right?

Have there been any Story Kit previews yet? Yes, both on the Facebook page and in her latest blog entry. Well, those are add-on previews, not Story Kit previews, but that's all she shows.

Previews for the Action kit are up. I LOVE it! This is my favorite kit in a very long time. Absolutely love the colors and the 3x8 papers. I always love when a stamp set is included in the SBTM kits. And I really like the change to the acrylic words. I also bought the add-on numbers and fabric embellishments.
