In the next month or two. Nothing too artsy. But just a regular scrapbook class maybe with some sketches for 2 page layouts. I really like sketches and do mostly 2 page layouts. I want to use my huge stash and maybe get organized. I wouldn't mind learning a few techniques but mostly I just want to be motivated to scrap. I am not really into the art journal type stuff for my scrapbook pages. Right now I just want to start scrapping again.
Any suggestions? I love Shimelle and should be getting the emails for her learn something new class soon but not sure that is what I want right now. I just want to get some pages done and have fun while doing it. I have taken classes at Big picture in the past. But haven't noticed anything coming up that sounds interesting. I like classes where I get an email telling me something new is in the classroom and it contains a link I don't like classes where you have to constantly try to hunt down the site to see if something new has been posted.
I hope someone knows of something starting soon. Right now the only thing I am looking forward to are the Christmas albums which are great but I want to do some normal pages right now or soon.
Thanks

Take a look at Scrapbook Generation. They have a sketch class. I'm pretty sure all the class content is available immediately. I have been thinking about taking one of their classes just haven't decided which one yet.

Thanks for posting. I took a sketch class from Alison and it was the most annoying class. I love her talent with sketches and have several of their sketchbooks by but the class was just weird. I think I took it the first time it was offered many years ago. I could never find the content and just gave up it was a waste of money. I have taken several classes from May and loved them so I may have to sign up for that class. I keep forgetting she split from big picture.

It's free! linkThis is a great way to get back into scrapping. Marianne gives lots of ideas and yet adds some new things each two weeks. I've scrapped more with her FREE challenge and ideas than I have in ages. I highly recommend it. I always look forward to each new unveiling!

I just got an email that 28 Days of Sketches and Stashbusters will be starting soon at Big Picture Classes. Both of those seem to fit what you've described.

I think I took it the first time it was offered many years ago. I could never find the content and just gave up it was a waste of money. That may have been when Allison's classes were offered through My Creative Classroom. Now, all her classes are straight from us at Scrapbook Generation, and the content is all available through PDFs with immediate downloads. Should be absolutely no problem easily accessing the whole class. Send me a private message with your information, the class you took -- I'm assuming it was Sketch Support, but I might be wrong -- and we'll make sure you get the downloads from the class you had trouble with -- compliments of SG. Consider it my good deed of the day!

I have taken a couple of Mays classes and did not like them at all!
Different strokes for different folks!
My suggestion is to find a designer you like the pages of, and go from there! Love the Stashbusters class I have fine at big picture, Stacy Julian's classes are always fun too. These days though, I tend to look for more arty flavoured classes, like the ones by Wilna F, Mou Saha, and other arty designers. ( have been buying a lot of class kits which I have been really enjoying)

I like the classes at Big Picture Classes. They offer a variety, and I know they have offered sketch-related classes.

Go to Shimelle on Youtube and check out her Sketch to Scrapbook videos. Good stuff there.

I can vouch for Shimelle's videos and her Return to the Collection class. Will check out some of the others mentioned here. I don't get anything from "classes" that show you a sketch and sample layouts only. I need to know why the design works visually. Classes get me scrapping again as well. Hope you find one that works for you!

Oh another vote for Return to the Collection with Shimelle. That was an AMAZING class. It has a two page layout in it, and a double with a regular page one side and a PL spread the other, plus easy ideas, and simple techniques. I love Shimelle, she is so inspiring!

Hope you find one that works for you! Hi, I was reading through comments here as I revisit Get It Scrapped blog content with the goal of writing what people need---and I saw this post. I think my Scrapbook Coach classes might be what you're looking for. Each class has you work a "foundation" (rather than a sketch) four times -- right along with a video that explains how to choose colors and patterns and how to decide what kind of crops and placements to use. I get lots and lots of email from students about how much they love these classes and hope I keep making them. Here is a one of the four lessons from Scrapbook Coach "Clusters" for you: vimeo.com/user837565/review/97270767/c0512f6cc7I'm sharing this one for free because that whole class is actually a free bonus class that folks with a Get It Scrapped membership at the FREE level can earn (it's a little hidden so there haven't been as many grabbing this as I expected. If you want to find it, get a free membership and then look closely at lesson 4 in the free class "From Photos to Scrapbook Page in 5 Steps." The free membership registration is here: masterfulscrapbookdesign.com/admin-primary/free-membership-at-get-it-scrapped/

Wow Debbie! Loved the video. Thanks! Do the scrapbook coach courses come with a paid membership? Or do you buy them separate?
