I'm trying to decide if I want to resubscribe....and I was wondering, how often (and how difficult) is it to skip? I LOOOVE this months kit, I liked last months a lot too, but the ones before that not so much.

I don't subscribe but I've heard that all you have to do to skip is ignore the paypal request.

Yes, it's very easy to skip. I will sometimes email them, but lately I just ignore the invoice. I end up purchasing maybe half the time.

Gotcha. I took the plunge....I wasn't going to do it but I said to myself that if the kit was still available today it was coming home to me.

I signed up a year ago and just bought my 3rd kit this month. Just don't pay the invoice that's how you skip.

That's an awesome system! I'm not in the market for a kit but if I was I'd be very happy with those terms.

Do you get to see what's in the kit by the time the invoice arrives?

Do you get to see what's in the kit by the time the invoice arrives? Yes, my invoice comes after the reveal. Reveal was 9/13 and i received the invoice 9/18. That way i know if I want the kit.

When do the kits ship? Was the reveal on 9/13 going to be what I receive if I signed up yesterday? If I paid through PayPal will it automatically bill me or will I be able to skip?

The kits are revealed about the 15th, and start shipping the 17th. I usually get mine around the 25th or so. Since you signed up so close to the timeline, it's hard to say if it was in time for the October kit. You should probably contact customer service.

I've been subscribing for about 2 years and have not seen an invoice (I don't pay with PayPal, I think I'm on some kind of auto thing with my credit card). Within a day of seeing the reveal, I just send an email. It's always worked(skipped 3 during that time).

Within a day of seeing the reveal, I just send an email. It's always worked(skipped 3 during that time). When I was a subscriber, if I didn't send an email to cancel they automatically charged the credit card that they had on file. If I didn't want the kit, I just sent an email telling them "Thanks, but I'm not interested in this month's kit. Please skip." Or something like that. I only ran into trouble once. We were camping with no cell service and I ended up with a kit that wasn't my style. Not a huge deal. And I did use the paper from it.

I got the kit. As lovely as I thought. Now I have appointment internet on reveal day. I can't wait to see what they come up with next. It feels really good to be a crafty subscriber again.

I'm glad you got it. It's simple but very pretty. This is the only kit I subscribe to, but I sometime buy a Hero Arts or My Favorite Things kit.

for those of you who sub to both hero arts and sss (or have at one time) can you compare? thank you I subscribe to SSS and buy HA occassionally. The HA kits are a great value, always have lots of matching stamps and dies. The really great thing about HA is you can also add on extras, and with $50 (not hard to do) shipping is free. The SSS kits generally have a fresher design, and are based around a selection of 6x6 papers. Liking the kit is usually a matter of liking the paper they used. They might come with one little die, and include matching cardstock and other goodies. Not as jam-packed, but still a good value. The frustrating thing is if they have a matching die set, or you want to add other items to the kit, you have to order separately, and pay for shipping. Not really worth it to subscribe for $5 off when you have to do that. If you're into stamps and dies, My Favorite Things have cute kits. I'm not sure if they're released randomly or regularly. They're kind of the best of both HA and SSS, good value, nice style.
