When DS was in Cub Scouts we participated in the Soap Box Derby. DS was so proud of his car ~ basically the *block* of wood painted red with some washers attached for weight. We get to the school for the derby and some of them looked like they were ready for mini NASCAR. Interestingly several years later they started having a separate race for the dads. Of course, a few of them didn't get the subliminal message.
