We're knee deep in college packing. Dinner is going to be a toss between takeout Chinese or Teriyaki bowl or Risotto. It's completely up to ds. I will be making those indoor s'mores I've been posting about. I promised him that much. How are our ill and in pain peas and pea hubby( sueg) doing today? I hope much better. Have a great day.

Hmmm. We had leftover sloppy joe last night, so maybe hamburgers tonight. Or that Mexican beef and rice skillet that was posted earlier this week.

I'm home alone again, and there is leftover curry in the fridge, so I'll eat that. Last night at Oktoberfest was so much fun, but my legs are not thanking me today, especially my dodgy knee. The last piece of my treatment fell into place today. The rehab co-ordinator from the hospital rang, and I have the choice of 2 clinics, both about half to 3/4 of an hour out of Munich to the south. I'll talk to DH tonight and email her back with my choice then everything - including transport from hospital to the clinic - will be arranged!
DH's back is improving each day. He managed 3 hours at Oktoberfest last night, even getting up onto the seats for a while. I was sensible and decided to stay seated! Tonight he is just with a group at a restaurant near his work, so no bench-dancing happening!

Dh is planning to make BLTs but I will cook a chicken breast when I get home. I have a weight loss goal I'd really like to reach and eating bread won't help me get there.

Well, dh is planning on living on the edge by eating that leftover roast beef again ... not me I guess I'll just make my fav childhood comfort food for the dd's and me ... macaroni and tomatoes ... boring but so good because I add a splash of Worstershire sauce

sueg, I love your descriptions of Oktoberfest, both the food and the bench dancing. scrapmaven, hugs to you as you get your DS packed and ready to leave the nest. I'm heading off for a three day retreat and should be packing but am enjoying a second cup of coffee instead. I have no idea what dinner will be and that's fine with me. SaveSave

My niece's daughter and her new fiance will be arriving around 4. I'm thinking ribs, fruit salad and some kind of vegetable. Or we could take them out with my winnings from the Big Brother Pea Pool. Woot! Woot! Nah, we'll have the ribs.

And I wonder who Paul would have taken to the final.

DS asked for minipizzas (apparently, they taste better than regular size pizza, even though the only difference is the size), so that's what I made. Other than that, I haven't done much except recharging today. I know the next five weeks will be busy, so resting when I have the chance is the wise thing to do.

I took out a package of ground beef, but I don't have any idea what to do with it. My niece's daughter and her new fiance will be arriving around 4. I'm thinking ribs, fruit salad and some kind of vegetable. Or we could take them out with my winnings from the Big Brother Pea Pool. Woot! Woot! Nah, we'll have the ribs. They're young. You'd better serve potatoes, too.

I have no idea on earth right now. We are going to want something I am sure but no idea what yet. I got two packages of ground turkey yesterday as they were buy one get one free and we are having turkey spaghetti tomorrow night. Maybe pizza? I need a night off from cooking or something. I might get a teriyaki something from the grocery store and he can have a chicken cordon blue thing. That would be easy. I am going out for Thai food for lunch. I hope it isn't too spicy.
I am trying a new medication to help me sleep as it is something that is elusive to me.

I have got to go to the grocery store. I hate going to the grocery store. The grocery store gives me anxiety. I was doing grocery pick up for a while which I thought was well worth the $6.99 it costs then my mom gave me a lecture on how wasteful it is to spend $300 per year to not have to grocery shop so she made me feel guilty about it. And now I'm back to shopping again. I put it off as much as I possibly can. Well, now we need food and I have no excuse why I can't go. So I'll be picking something up there to cook tonight.

I’m a little better but today should have been grocery day and I didn’t go - too much ch walking. There’s a few things in the freezer but H didn’t want any of it so I sent him out for fast food.
Now my arms hurt from the crutches. I do not have any upper body strength. Not supposed to lean on the crutches but holding myself on my arms is difficult.
Hopefully they’ll say I can walk tomorrow, or soon. I’m much improved but still sore and still limping if I try to walk without the crutches. ( which I did when I had to potty and couldn’t find them in the dark last night! 😆😀 )

Shopping takes me at least an hour- I make more than 7$/hr if it was available here I’d use it. ( except I sort of like shopping ) Using YOUR time in a more valuable way shouldn’t make you feel guilty. Especially if your DH is Home, totally worth the money to spend the time with him!!

It's just me tonight, so I grilled up some steak kabobs and vegetables. It was a great post-gym dinner!

Compliance of Marie Callandar a wonderful meat loaf with gravy, mashed potatoes and sweet corn. For $2.50, I cannot make a cheaper and yet delicious meal. All praise Maried Callandar!

It is my birthday today. Well, tomorrow for most of you, but today for me! Last night, which was 21st here, we had my family over for an early birthday dinner. DSO made roast pork and his special meatballs, and bought a roast chicken and chips. Tonight, which is the 22nd here, 2 of my oldest girlfriends have invited themselves over for dinner. DSO is cooking roast lamb with roast vegies (potato and pumpkin) plus broccoli and cauliflower with white sauce.

Wishing you a very Happy and Joyful Birthday, AussieMeg. hop2, thank you for your kind words. I hope your ankle heals quickly and you can get off of those crutches. When you lean on them w/your armpit you can injure your axillary nerve. That's why you have to be so careful w/them.
