I am trying to pick a grey color for my walls that will look nice with this couch...what greys do you all love?

it depends on the light in the room. we tried to match something in a room, but the gray that matched in the store, looked horrid in the room. we ended up with a totally different shade.
get swatches or samples and try them out because gray can be tricky

I don't have a color but I'd definitely go lighter especially if you have white trim.

I wouldn't use gray walls with gray furniture. IMO it can be way too melancholy. I'd do gray walls with a black, white or bright colored sofa like a red. For a gray sofa I'd go with walls that are just almost white. Sherwin Williams "reflection" or "Olympus White" outside of gray I'd pick "Oh Pistachio" (a green) or Refresh (a blue/green) My office was painted in "Mindful gray" and I like it. The furnishings are all bright white with high gloss finishes and glass. The link url says repose gray. That is the brightest gray in this line. Mindful gray is the second brightest. www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/color/find-and-explore-colors/paint-colors-by-family/SW7015-repose-gray#/7016/?s=coordinatingColors&p=PS0

Benjamin Moore Nightingale is a pale grey that goes with both browns and blacks. I used it in my house and my sister and neighbor both loved it and used it in theirs as well.

Bm revere pewter.
A warm grey. Magically goes with everything. Chameleon color. Read reviews. It can lean to many colors that you may not want, like a green. I love it.

I would get a few tester pots and try them out first. That couch is described as slate grey which to me would make me think it's on the blue side of grey so be careful, the colour grey can have many different hue's to it.

You may want to reconsider. Grey has been overdone. All the decorator magazines are now declaring it out and beiges, which I hate, are the upcoming colors.

My kitchen is SW Repose Grey and I really love it. Agreeable Grey is another nice grey. They don't have the blue undertone that many greys have.

Most of my house is Sherwin Williams Mindful Gray. I love it! It's very warm and neutral. I have walnut floors and oak trim. The gray goes very well with it.

My advice is go get several samples. Look on pinterest for ideas. Home Depot & Lowes both make little 4 oz jars. If you absolutely love Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore, either HD or Lowe's can color match. Might not be exact, but close. My Sherwin Williams store didn't have the small samples so I had to do color match for a few.
Take your samples home and test paint. Do it in several areas. I did patches in middle of walls, right up close to ceiling or crown molding, and also next to baseboards. Watch it for 24 hours. The colors will change throughout the day and into the night. It's also good if you can see how color looks in both sunny and overcast weather. Colors also look different in different geographical areas, I would guess because of sunlight relative to latitude.
We recently did this before painting our huge living room/dining room and then again for the kitchen/family room. The most difficult area to find something we liked was for some accent recessed areas. I think we tested like 10 colors before we decided on one. This is of course assuming you are okay with the room looking like a color patchwork quilt for a few days.
Looking at your sofa, I agree with other posters about going lighter. I think Sherwin Williams Sea Salt would look nice with your sofa. It is a very light grayish blue in my home. I used it in my craft room.

My DH and I call this color the 'argument-ender.' We were in the store becoming increasingly frustrated with each other. We each described what we wanted to the associate, she handed us the Revere Pewter swatch, and we both immediately agreed it was perfect.

We just redid our first floor after a kitchen remodel. It's now more of an open concept. My floors are hardwood white oak with no stain. I purchased a new couch and chair that are supposed to be navy blue, but look like charcoal gray to me. I will be painting my walls a very light gray. I don't think it looks cold at all. I did this color pallet on purpose as I wanted to have a neutral backdrop in order to decorate for the seasons with color and art work. I was happy when gray became the "new" neutral. I'm not a fan of beige, so I won't be using that in my house.

We are building a house and we just had our walls painted "accessible beige". It's a sherwin Williams color. It picks up browns and grays. We don't have our furniture in yet but I have seen other houses with it and I love how it changed colors based on what was in the room. I think it's a very versatile color. Good luck!

I thought I wanted Revere Pewter, but when I got it home in my space it was too dark. So I went with Edgecomb Gray - the next lighter shade on the card. It's turned out really nicely. It does kind of lean beige in my rooms/lighting, but is super neutral.

We have several west-facing rooms painted in Sherwin Williams Sea Salt. It reads as a light green - blue in these rooms, not as grey. I find it soothing, and visitors often ask about it.

I picked out some grays that when I painted swatches looked BLUE. Like, bright blue. I went with Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter, which in paint chips looks far more beige, but on my walls looks quite gray. You just have to do swatches so you can see it in the light of the room.

I thought the revere pewter had too many purple undertones in our space. Hazy Skies was lighter.
