...having to spend so.much.time. cleaning up someone elses messes? No wonder she was let go! (well...that and the fact she was caught changing her daughter's grades in RenWeb...) Part of my new responsibilities are recording student vaccination records, which have to be reported to the State of Texas in a few weeks. There are so.many.missing records! How did she do the report last year with so.many.missing! And now I have to be the bad guy and tell parents they have to submit (or re-submit) them or else their kids can't continue to attend school! And they say they turned them in.....so why. can't. I. find. them? Oh...that would be because the filing system is a complete and utter mess! UGH! And to top it off, most of the students that are missing records are International students....so I am working with guardians or family members who may or may not speak English very well....and the records I need are in Vietnam....or China....so getting them is not simple. grumble....grumble...grumble....

Let your boss know what is going on and just do the best you can.
It takes a lot of balls to change grades. Our are protected so only the teacher could enter or change them.

My teacher wrote ours down in pencil. (He was a gym teacher not a history teacher) and he used to go for smoke breaks. I got an A. The whole class was a bunch of geniuses.

Online is so much better now and available to parents more readily.

You do need to tell your boss and soon. Otherwise they will wonder why you don't have the info recorded.

Yes, the job I stepped into after the gal retired was a mess. I had to tell my boss because there were big issues. It took me a good long time to get things sorted out and organized to an actual system.

Actually yes. And they knew it was being done badly (or not at all) which I why I was asked to take it. But no one knew the extent until I took over.

Yes, and she still isn’t fired. Not even for hiding files in a drawer instead of processing them.

I worked in a glass shop in KC. In the first month I had went back and collected enough outstanding bills to pay my entire wages for 18 months! Then 18 months later they begrudged me a $1.00 raise. I left. Screw them.
The chick I replaced did a crappy job, along with her co-worker. When the co-worker got fired, I was doing the job of both of them. Both were failing miserably.
