It would probably be best if you read it up yourself and came to your own conclusions. Somehow, it sticks in your head better that way. SaveI've already come to my own conclusions.

The JW will tell you if you really want to know but somehow I don't think it would be your thing to invite them in when they knock on the door gar Just as an aside: One day I standing around kicking the tires of my old truck because the silly thing wouldn't start and I let my AAA thing lapse, basically having a tempertantrum in the driveway, and up walked the two JW canvasing my neighborhood that day. I started trying to figure out a way to scamper away but they already made eye contact, and I just couldn't figure out how to do it without being an ass so there I stood, a deer caught in the headlights. So they say hey, I say hey, they ask me whats going on, I tell them. The leader of the two whips out HER AAA card and calls them for me. I am a bit shocked thinking oh boy, I need this but now I am going to have to listen to the speel. But no, we chat until the AAA guy there about just random chit chat. I get them water ('cause it is hot outside and they are standing around in the sun with me) and they never said a word about religion beyond who they were. Not a word. AAA guy does his thing, I thank them profusely, the say no problem and wave goodbye. Talk about walking the walk. That impressed me more than anything they could have said. Made me remember that sometimes good people are just good people who just quietly act on their faith.

It's just that there's not much proselytism over here unless they're JW or LDS. One can tell who they are a mile away....one has two or three children in tow and the other is so smartly dressed you can't miss them but it's the JW that usually mentions the " end of the world" and the coming of Jesus.

Made me remember that sometimes good people are just good people who just quietly act on their faith. The family that was my daycarenprovider for 12 years was Mormon. They were the kindest, most loving family (six kids-had three in class) I could have asked for. No pushing of their faith; they just lived it. I have always respected their faith because of them.

with a candlestick? Save Maybe it was the Bishop.....that fits in better with the thread The guy buried next to my mother has the nickname "Bishop" on his headstone. He also has an engraving of a confederate flag. WTF? We are Canadians. Throw back days to the Dukes of Hazzard?

Scrolling through my newsfeed yesterday, and there's the headline "world to end today" followed by the dateline of "3 days ago," the irony made me laugh!

Obviously I'm friends with the wrong people of FB otherwise I would never have let DH head out of the country to play golf while I took off on a retreat, leaving our two babies home alone to face the coming. Are we sure he didn't quietly show up and is still trying to decide whether there is anyone worth saving?
