You ...Or you did for someone? I got up early this morning and polished all of hubby's equipment and shoes for the events he had today. We had a church service and then a youth day at the LEO club. He has worked the past 10 days between teaching, special assignments, escorts and regular duty. Hubby bought me a bunch of beautiful fall flowers and is brining me home chicken soup...he got me sick.
I was also the tech guru at Joanns yesterday afternoon. An older lady was trying to figure out the app, I saw and showed her. Next thing I know there was 6 ladies asking questions. Took the time to show each one of them how to use it on their phones. It was totally adorable to see them using it. Might have taken an hour out of my day but they were so happy and I loved the things they started talking about. How about you what have you done sweet recently or what has someone done sweet for you?

A friend took a group of us on his boat, do swish around Lake Ontario last night just before sunset. We had brought along some food and ate a simple supper in the middle of the lake. Beautiful.

Our oldest granddaughter made homemade lasagna(for the first time) and garlic bread for dinner the other night and brought my husband and I a plate! It was delicious and she was so proud of herself!

I had surgery on Wednesday and I'm stuck in my chair for the next 10 weeks. DH and DD have been waiting on me hand and foot taking care of me.

Aww! I love reading where husbands and wives serve each other like you did in your OP.
My DH made me breakfast in bed this morning. Biscuits and sausage for the win!
To return the favor, I am making homemade chicken pot pie (DH's favorite!) for him tonight. Its the first 'cooler-spell' that we have had, and he loves to have Chicken Pot Pie the first time it gets cooler.

Not me, but my dd finished up her summer nannying job this week before she left for college. They wrote an incredibly kind note and and gave her an extra $100. While she appreciated the money, the note just made her day. Reminded me what a few nice words of thanks can do for people-so simple, takes so little time, but it's not done often enough.

My awesome SIL and his Dad spent the better part of the day helping DH put a new starter on our Honda CRV. SIL even paid for the new starter because he knew we just could not afford it right now. I have told my youngest DD that her hubby is a keeper! He is in the military and is an excellent example of a respectful, kind and loving young man. I feel blessed to call him my son-in-law.

I'm tooting my own horn I don't drink but I went to this huge Octoberfest event last night with dh and some friends ... let's just say that I was probably one of the only sober people in the place ... anyway, we stayed until they literally kicked us out ... the majority of the attendees were in their 20's so dh and friends thought that was funny that we lasted longer (We're all around 50) Dh offered for me to drive our friends home This is funny because they live on the opposite end of the city No worries, I'm good with it ... we get to the car and then all the drunk people want to stop at the McDonald's drive-thru So we get food and drop friends off Then we drive across the city home ... dh doesn't feel well today Anyway, it wasn't necessarily my idea of a good time but I'd do it all over again because I know that dh and friends really appreciated having a DD

We lost power during hurricane Irma. Believe me, that's not fun, it's hot and sweaty. We have great friends who got power back first and had a scheduled vacation - they offered their beautiful house while we were waiting for our electricity to come back. It was out for a week, so their generosity was a life savor. We owe them big time.

About a year ago I decided to retire from my government job and move on to a second career with a non-profit. Dh retired as well and has been staying home checking off the honey-do list and watching dgs. He also cooks most dinners, even on the weekend!

Had to spend a couple days in the hospital this week due to pericarditis and I'm still kind of shaky so my husband swept, vacuumed and did all the laundry today. Such a good guy.

Friday was my last day at work. During our morning meeting several co workers said so many kind things about me and my work ethic. It brought tears to my eyes hearing what they had to say.

Work has been pretty crazy and we've been a bit feeling a bit demoralized so I decided to grab coffee for my co-worker. When I went to pay, the guy at the register said "Oh, "Zach" is paying for everyone's coffee this morning" I was a bit stunned for a couple seconds as it kicked in, and asked who Zach was; he wasn't in the cafe at the time so I couldn't thank him, but I was just tickled. It totally made my day.

My DH brought home a new Lego set for me last week. I had been waiting for it to come out, and then decided to not buy it because Christmas is right around the corner. I love that man!

I am blessed to be the recipient of many kindnesses. I like to pay it forward when I can. The most recent thing was my youngest son engineering a great surprise, kitten adoption. I love cats and this was truly the best thing in a long time.

A sweet little lady at our church has had many health issues. She's been in and out of the hospital and nursing home. I sent her flowers from her friends at church. I love doing that for some of the older members of our very small congregation. They don't know it's me.

Not sure if this qualifies but I love it when my family calls to ask me for medical advice. None of them live near me so I can't do anything but give advice. Dgs did that last night. He got fiberglass from a ceiling tile in his eye. He's ok . He was at church working alone but his sister was just getting off work and she came to the rescue with eyewash.

A former student wrote on facebook that she was sick and wanted Progressive chicken noodle soup, but didn't have money or a way to get some. She is young and physically and mentally disabled. I needed groceries, so I picked up six cans and some oyster crackers and dropped them off. She was so grateful.

My husband went to the grocery store to pick up some chicken thighs, and grabbed me a chocolate orange just because he knows I like them.

Thanks for all the sweet things. It's nice to remember that even the smallest gesture can mean so much. Keep being kind to others and kindness will float into your day.

My friend recommended me to her friend needing some floral design help for her daughter's wedding. That "needing some help" turned into me not just helping but leading the biggest design job of my life. I can hardly wait to get my hands on all those fresh flowers including 8 different varieties of roses. dreamy...

I put my lovely neighbour's bin out. Does that count? Of course it does! I hate putting out the trash and keep hoping that one day, some able-bodied person in my house will do the same thing.
Let's see, yesterday DH made ribs in the smoker just because he heard me say that I wanted some. And took me out for an ice cream before bed just because.

I met a friend (I met through 2peas!) yesterday and she bought my dinner. As for what I did, it was pretty small. I was at a gas station and was buying a soda. I saw they were buy 1, get 1 for a $1, but I only wanted 1. I heard an older lady next to me and she said 'wow, $1.79, these are expensive.' I realized as I walked to pay that she may not have the $$. So I went back and offered to buy hers for $1. It was small, but she was appreciative. I would have just bought it for her, but she insisted on giving me $1 (in dimes and nickels)
