I'm up to $9.54 so far. I'm definitely going to get the bluebird card and double it. It sounds like it works pretty much like a walmart gc anyway (just can't use it at Sam's club).

I've gotten about $4 so far but I figure it doesn't really take but a moment of my time to sign in to the website and enter the receipt so it's free money as far as I'm concerned.

I saw this on tv. They showed them using their phone. Is there a way to do this on Walmart.com? I don't have a smart phone so it won't work for me on my phone I don't think. I don't have a cell phone and I do it on my computer...I have over $10. on mine right now!

I've only done it 3 times because I don't go there that often, but I have almost $12 so far. Better than a stick in the eye.

I simply don't shop there often enough to do it. I don't use the Target app either as I don't shop there often enough to justify it. I did see that my cousin who shops there a lot post that she has gotten some money through it.

I started on August 5th and I now have $19.75 in my account.
i tried to sign up for the Bluebird card, but it told me I already had an account and referenced a Serve account. I forgot I even had that as it was like a paypal account that they gave $25 when you signed up. I wonder if I close that account if I'll be able to sign up for the Bluebird card. I'd love to double the savings catcher money.

I'm wondering about privacy with this. Is this the way WM can track all my purchases like a store loyalty card does? I recently heard an interesting discussion on the radio about how companies are tracking people and selling demographic information so advertising can be directed at specific people. Just curious if anyone knows what Wal-Mart does with the information? Just seems a little too generous for a company to give money back after you spent it.

I have accumulated $22.45 so far. I used it today. Every time I shop there I can't wait to enter my receipt and see if I saved anything. I think it's a great program. Today at Walmart I found two receipts people left in their cart. I took them and I'm entering them on my Savings catcher. Is that wrong?

This is another way for them to ad match without the clerks having to take the time to override prices. Are they using it to track purchases, honestly doesn't even give me a pause.

I'm thinking big box stores are already capturing some demographic info by nature of store sales and that, combined with the fact that I use my credit card for every purchase, I'm sure credit card companies do the same. I don't care...if they tune in and start sending me deals for the things I like to buy, OK by me.

Not sure how safe it is? Again this is a federal government requirement since it is a money account. Just like opening a bank account they need the same info. Or credit card account.

I just downloaded it. I don't shop there often, but there's a neighborhood market really close by where I get prescriptions and groceries sometimes. I can spend 10 extra seconds to see if I'd save anything. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Q_m8lDOvc_3Le3r1GKdf.jpg) I love the Cartwheel app. Especially when they so random bigger items - like 50% threshold bedding 1-day only. Went and got a new quilt and pillow shams. Got new 600 thread count sheets 1/2 off, etc. I also like the target brand food just fine and often get a little for that. I was at the Atlanta race and they had a Cartwheel display. I showed them my app and was 4th on the board for savings - almost $300 I think? I got a Kyle Larson autographed hat (I was there for work and he was actually doing an appearance for me, so I gave it away to a guest in my hospitality tent!), a cartwheel shopping bag, and a bunch of free samples. I just think its fun. I love Target. AND saving $$. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Q_m8lDOvc_3Le3r1GKdf.jpg)

I'm hardly ever getting any savings anymore. For a while it was a little on almost every receipt. My last 5 receipts, all over $50 and a couple of them close to $100, have had nothing at all.

Mine aren't big - 2 receipts and my total is a little over $5. But a few seconds work for a few bucks? I'll take it. ![](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) It's a lot easier than shopping around for the best prices myself.

Any idea what that means? check the numbers you put in...I've had that happen a couple of times and it was human error (mine) LOL! You can just enter the numbers again and it will work.

I will have to look into that. But if it involves a phone or computer, I probably won't be able to figure it out.

We've gotten a small amount back (around $2), but we tend to buy store brands, so those won't be matched. I did want to clear up what seem to be a couple of misconceptions about the Bluebird account, though. It's not just for the Savings Catcher - it's actually a prepaid American Express debit card, which is why they need your personal info when you sign up. And it is AWESOME. It has virtually no fees (as long as you add funds either by direct deposit or at Walmart), unlike any of the other prepaid cards I had looked at. The others charge a monthly fee and a fee when you reload the card. The Bluebird lets me shop online without worrying that someone is going to hack into the system and clean out my checking account - the only thing that can be spent is what you have on the card; it doesn't pull from your checking account, and it does have fraud protection so you'd be able to get back any fraudulent charges. The promo they have now with doubling your savings catcher dollars: as far as I understand, those funds go onto your card as "Walmart Dollars" that can be spent only at Walmart. I haven't redeemed my paltry amount yet, so I can't give info on how that works, but I would not hesitate to sign up for the card. I've been so happy with mine that my son went and got one for himself ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg)
