Does anyone own one of these? www.mftstamps.com/supplies/tools/teflon-flower-petal-shaperThe description says that you can use it to crease and burnish as well, and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience using this as a bone folder. It would be a much cheaper substitute for an actual teflon bone folder... Thanks in advance!

I don't have this tool, but it looks like it is cylindrical. I can see using it for petal shaping and for rounding out die cuts like bubbles or balloons. Not sure if it would work as a bone folder?

I agree. You might be able to use as as a bone folder, but since you have much less surface to hold on to, you might not be able to press down as firmly as an actual bone folder. Or at least it may be more awkward.

Bummer. Thank you ladies! Have also reached out to MFT to request better photos/video, will update if I get a response.

midorica, I was thinking....try using a pencil as a bone folder. If that works out for you, maybe this tool would work for you also. Use whatever cardstock you would normally use. I know some times my 110 weight paper kind of gives me some trouble. Try it with whatever you normally use.

I used a size J crochet hook with a rounded (not pointed) bottom and it worked perfectly! You can also buy Metal Ball Baking Fondant Cake Tools from Amazon.

Just an FYI that this thread is from 2017. I don't think the product in the OP's post is even available anymore.
