I always love seeing the Peas share their weight loss journey. It inspires me and gives me hope. So, I thought I'd start a new sharing thread! I've been on my journey exactly a year. I've lost 53 pounds and had breast reduction surgery on May 31st. I always have trouble seeing the changes because I look at myself every day. But, looking at photos, I can tell a difference in where I was and where I am. I would LIKE to lose 15 more pounds. I don't know if it's possible and if it doesn't happen, will strive to remain healthier than I have been in the past. This is me last summer and last week. So, let's see YOU!

I started my weight loss journey in Jan 2012. I lost 50 lbs on WW. We moved in 2014, and over the period of preparing, and selling our house, I gained about 20 back (Eating out almost every meal, while keeping the house clean.) Since then, I joined a fitness studio, lost a little weight, gained muscle, and toned up my body by doing a combination of working out 1 hr, at least 5 days a week, and doing 21 Day Fix/Shakeology, and/or counting my macros. I still have about 15 lbs to lose, but, I am well on my way. I am hoping to, one day, get a breast reduction, but we will see. My heaviest 2011/Now

Maybe we can lose our 15 together! Getting the breast surgery really helped me in so many ways. I am not as restricted in the workouts any more. My back and neck feel better. My clothes fit better. I hope that you can have the surgery if it will help you live a fuller life!

Nicely done, ladies.
I don't know what happened to me this past year, but I gained 20 pounds! I've lost 15 since May and hope to lose ten more.
So, nothing earth-shattering or long-haul, but my clothes fit again and - bonus!- my knee stopped hurting.

I don’t have any photos handy but have been losing very slowly for over two years. This year I’ve lost 40+ pounds and since I began seeing my current PCP in late 2014 I’ve lost 22% of my body weight.
Congrats to to all of you!

Congrats to everyone who has lost weight -- I know what a difficult journey it can be.
Anyway, I've lost 99 pounds since September 2014, so 3 years. Pictures are below. The thing that is quite funny is that to reach my goal weight, I need to lose that one last pound to equal a 100 pound loss -- and I just can't seem to do it! I'm basically maintaining my weight loss at this point, which is great, but I would just love to lose that one stupid pound!! Attachments:

I lost 45 pounds in 2001 with Weight Watchers, then got pregnant with DD #2 and struggled to get back to a healthy weight until she was 5. There were definitely some challenges with hypothyroidism, finding a new doctor, etc. But in 2008 I got back in the zone, lost weight and hit goal at 132. In 2012 I went on a yeast free diet for two months for health reasons, and lost another 8 pounds. I held there for a while but my fighting weight is below 120 so a couple of months ago I started intermittent fasting and bam! 5 more pounds gone. I have to say that for me, intermittent fasting, focusing on whole foods, and limiting sugar and processed foods have been amazing. I feel better at almost 50 than I did in my late 20s / early 30s.

I'm basically maintaining my weight loss at this point, which is great, but I would just love to lose that one stupid pound!! You look fabulous. And I actually think "I lost 99 pounds" has a certain charm to it. Seriously. Or at the least sounds more believabable. Makes you sound scrupulously honest. I have this number in my head I THINK I should weigh, but it's about three pounds smaller than the number my body likes. I've gotten ticked off and forced the loss, but it truly is astonishing how much harder it is to maintain. Hell, if I were you I'd get a necklace that says "99." (I have no idea why I'm so tickled with this number.)

Wow you all look wonderful. I don't have any pictures handy, but I'm down 42 pounds. I was down 45, but have been slipping a little lately. I still have about 15 more to go so I need to get back to it.
Good job to all who have lost and those who have maintained your weight loss. I know how incredibly hard it is!

Congratulations! You look great.
I've lost 14 lbs since April. I intended to lose 8-10 so I could fit into my clothes bettter but the summer was a bit more hectic than I expected. I'd like to stay in this range now. I haven't been this weight consistently since the 1990's.

Congrats to all - it is very hard work! My immediate and extended family are all extremely thin. I didn't benefit from those genetics at all! This pic was actually my "on this day" on my Facebook timeline this morning. My heaviest in 2012 at 275. Second pic is from September 2013, down 50 pounds. I'm a bit disappointed that I've only managed to lose 10 more pounds since then. My goal was 100 pounds. When I started this journey I had just recovered from bilateral knee replacements and a hip replacement, all done in 2011. I was doing an hour of deep water fitness five days a week. I still go to the gym five days a week, but how I do an hour on the elliptical followed by either an hour of deep water fitness, a high fitness floor aerobics class, or spinning. Only to lose 10 more pounds - grrr! I've lost this weight while staying within my limitations due to the joint replacements and hypo (almost inactive) thyroid. I wore out my first set of knees and had bilateral revisions last November because I'm "too active". This year menopause hit which makes weight loss even more difficult. I'll be 49 on Wednesday. I know I'm healthier and I've come a long way so I'm proud about that.

You all look AMAZING! Congratulations and great job! I love the before and after pictures of you all!
I was always a tiny little thing until I had my 3rd child in my late 30's. I gained over 60 pounds with that pregnancy and then couldn't get the weight off. I continued to gain weight pretty rapidly no matter what I did. Then my daddy got sick and I struggled with his care, a lot of stress during that time between my dad, work, home life. In total, I gained 160 pounds in 3 years. When my dad passed away, I was determined to get my own health back under control. I'd also developed diabetes with my weight gain. I tried every diet and work out program I could and even tried a medical weight loss system. Nothing, not even a single pound loss. My health was rapidly declining and I was referred for gastric bypass surgery. I had the surgery in 2010 and lost 150 pounds in 8 months. I have been able to maintain the entire weight loss with no regain. Actually I've lost below my goal weight now and even smaller than what you see in my after picture. I cried for months over having to reduce myself to surgery, but now I know it was the best decision I've ever made for myself.
I really need skin removal surgery, but that doesn't seem to be in the cards for me.

Congratulations everyone on your amazing weight loss journeys and successes! I don't know how to post photos but you all know my story anyway. I was always naturally thin until the birth of my son at 29. After that I kept some weight on and then when I needed medication for depression the weight kept coming on. I went up and down so many times I had clothes in my closet from sizes S to XL. I finally hit a point in 2012 where I thought enough! I have to do something to stop this roller coaster. First I cut out soda, then all fast food. Then I found a website called www.100daysofrealfood.com and learned how to read food labels and how to really reduce buying processed foods. After all that I went from 186 pounds to 168 pounds. I'd only lost 18 pounds in 2 years. Ugh! One night (February 2014) I was flipping through the programs on Netflix and came across a documentary called "Forks over Knives". It was about a whole foods, plant based diet that made so much sense that I decided to try it for 28 days. I showed it to my DH the next day and wonder of wonders he agreed to try it with me! Basically it's a really healthy vegan diet, but in that documentary they explain that you don't count calories, you eat until you are full, and you will naturally lose weight, plus a ton of other healthy benefits. After 28 days I felt so amazing I just kept doing it. It took awhile (I have hypothyroid and was in the middle of menopause) but I ended up losing an additional 43 pounds to put me at my goal weight of 125 pounds. I'm only 5 foot, 3 inches so this was the correct weight for me according to my physical therapist. I was never hungry, or felt deprived. One you are on this new style of eating your cravings for meat, cheese and other former foods you used to eat disappear and you find yourself craving the new healthy foods. I'm 57 but feel like I'm 35! I'll continue eating this way for the rest of my life and only wish I'd done it sooner. PS. I too would love to have a breast reduction. I've been measured at a 34DDD. Not sure if I qualify but it would be amazing.

You all are doing a wonderful job! Slow but steady for me - I've lost 20 lbs since July, but the last 4-5 were due to Kidney Stones and not being hungry! Hopefully I can get back on track once that settles down. I've got at least 30 more to go.
