I ended up making chili rice and that’s what DS and I ate for dinner. The 8yo ate both leftover fried rice AND chili rice, AND he put soy sauce on both. It’s low-sodium soy sauce. @@ Tomorrow DS is taking us all out for pizza after belt testing. Safe travels to you, Delta Dawn.

I can't believe I got all excited by the idea of JoP's new pie and didn't even think autocorrect. When I started using low sodium soy sauce my kids started putting feta cheese on their rice. I didn't realize for the longest time it was because the low sodium wasn't salty enough for them. I just thought they liked rice & feta. Congratulations to your son, @calimom2! Many years ago I chaired our school's Reflections committee and loved to see the kids move onto to District and State.

Cleaned more of the new house so we can start moving Saturday. The painters finished but didn't do dh's office. It's lavender. Called them and he came back and did it. He's requesting cash payment. My dh doesn't like that. I'm happy it's done. Now I want dh to install permanent pantry shelves and new lights that are yet to be picked or purchased. Dd had a game. They finally let her play. 45 of 70 minutes. So she seemed happy. We ended up having pizza from another neighborhood joint. It was ok. I'm really craving youngstown pizza. That's where I grew up and the Italians there just do it different.

sueg , Too bad you have to go through the surgery part in order to get to the spa part. As part of rehab will they offer other modalities like acupuncture? It will really help to hasten your recovery. I haven't seen acupuncture on the list of therapies, but I am reading it all in German, so it is slow going! They do offer massage, which helps with fluid drainage, and thermal pools for both therapy and swimming. And my DH can come and stay with me if he wants, even overnight, for a ridiculously small fee (from memory, €60/day, including meals and use of gym/thermal pools)

It's really soothing and I've met a lot of patients w/knee replacements who find relief and healing in the pool. It takes the pressure off of your joints.
