Cool photo, @elaynef . My niece (born in 1968) had that dress. And her mom gave it to me for our dd who was born 15 years later! You are welcome to lift this page. Would love to see what you create! That is an amazing coincidence!

justjac, your "shopping is our superpower" page is adorable. I like those glitter thickers and the photo of the trunk full of purchases. nylene, great embellishments on Alice in Wonderland. I agree Ashley needed flowers. Our sewing class isn't until the 24 or 25th. We're just prepping everything. We've decided to sew a tote bag first to get her use to the sewing machine. msliz, I spent 2 years in the no time to scrap but kept buying like I was mode. You're buys were really cheap compared to mine. Plus, we have to support our hobby industry!!! So Good Job! I hope you can find some time to create soon. grammadee, love your October calendar page. I actually had that paper collection and am down to the last dredges of it. I'll be sad when it's gone as it's perfect for fall pages. I was going to use the last of my picked tomatoes to make tomato soup the other day. I spent the morning prepping the tomatoes and stuck them on the stove to start cooking them down. Logan came down to get help with school. I went upstairs and my help took a lot longer than I thought it would. Scorched the whole pot! I was so sick - the waste of my time, the waste of good tomatoes, and no soup. @elaynef, I love your photo card. I love the dress you're wearing. kellyr21, Good luck on your Christmas card productions. I can't wait to see. scrapincin, how are you feeling after your fall? Sometimes it seems like weeks before I'm back to normal after twisting or falling. Happy Thanksgiving weekend to all of the Canadian Pokeys. Happy Columbus Day weekend to the American Pokeys. Does anyone do anything for this "holiday"? As a homeschooler, we don't even take it off. Business as usual here. Actually, I'll share one of the conveniences of homeschooling. Today (Saturday) we were suppose to work outside. It's raining. So Monday's school work was moved to today, and Monday which is suppose to be gorgeous will be our Saturday work day. Today is also national card making day and international digital scrapbooking day! Off to check the digital site before getting something accomplished today.

Hi everyone! Yes I am alive! It just seemed like I could not get here. Between baseball games and kids and dinner etc I just could not get time. I am so loving the Indians I hope they go all the way. I am doing well after my fall-still have some bruises on my knees but soreness is gone. nylene-I hate to say this but no I have not received your email yet. Try looking under sent in your folders and it should be there and send it again It does not have to be you one time I did not get an email for several months. It had been wandering around in cyber space I guess. It must work like the US Post Office works! LovAlice in Wonderland. ed your layout about grammadee-loved your pages for your calendar. I swear that will be one of the coolest calendars around. Thanks again for organizing the card exchange. Happy Thanksgiving to you and justjac . I know both of you will be participating. elayne I want to say Thank you for your nice comments on my pages . Waving hi to Jana, Kelly everyone I may have missed-old brain ya know I have to go get dinner going BBL

Good Saturday afternoon, Pokeys! Glad to hear your injuries are healing, scrapincin. Loved seeing your page, nylene. Hope that means you are feeling better, too. Can't wait to see your Christmas creations, kellyr21. I am excited about our own little card exchange. I will put all the names and addresses into one list. Thinking we should plan on mailing them out about December 1st? Hope you had an uneventful trip home, justjac, and that you are enjoying time with your family. Hoping there will be no snow to complicate your trip back. It is really cool and windy here today. Dh is talking about digging out his lined coveralls. He was out for awhile doing a little more wrapping up loose ends before winter. That is too bad about your tomatoes, LisaDV. I know how much work it is to get them to that stage, so to burn the soup would be very frustrating. I don't need kids to distract me. I have to set the stove timer for every 5 to 8 minutes when I am cooking something like that. Drives dh crazy, but I know if that dinger didn't go off I could totally forget I had something cooking on the stove. Also, most soups, I cook in the oven so burning is less of a possibility. We have no one here for the long weekend, so a quiet one for us. Today I baked pumpkin pies to take to our niece's tomorrow when we go for Thanksgiving dinner. Still have the mess in the kitchen to clean up. This morning I put together 10 cards for World Cardmaking Day. Working on my stash of scraps from my Christmas cupboard. Was thinking of setting up another set of cards, but thinking creatively is like pulling hens' teeth today, so I think that will have to wait until tomorrow. The only thing I may do is pull out another set of pieces to work with... With all of the stuff I have tucked away, I should never have to buy any supplies again, but as you know, msliz, the fun of finding something new is sometimes--let's face it, for me it is ALL the time--an overpowering urge! Okay, off to clean up my kitchen and figure out what's for supper. Is pumpkin pie a meal?

I just have a minute, but I wanted to tell you coincidence #3, @elaynef and grammadee. My niece also had that dress. She was a couple of years older than my first daughter (1969) and handed it down to my Tori. I think I have a Christmas photo of her in that dress. Also, @elaynef, did you make your dress? I made one similar while I was teaching school in 67 and 68 and we were required to wear dresses, heels and hose to teach. I also remember that round wreath-like pins were the popular thing then. I still have one I wore on my dress like that. scrapincin, I found the email in my sent box, so will try again. Just got home from the ER with DH. Another kidney stone. He is not a happy camper. I'll be back later to chat.

Oh nylene! I hope your dh is recovering okay. I don't imagine he would be a happy camper with that much pain! Dh is not a happy camper this morning, either, but it has to do with the yucky weather and that he does not want to go to supper tonight with his family. Hopefully he will have a nap in front of a football game this afternoon and then we can head out for a happy experience. Yesterday I made pumpkin pies to take with us to supper. Today all I have to do is make some coleslaw. Sounds like an easy Thanksgiving meal for ME! Here are a couple of pages I put together this morning, using the October Sketch challenge as a jumping off point: School boys Sept '17 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr School boys sept '17 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr There have not been a lot of school lines out, lately, so I made the most of the Simple Stories "Old School" line that came out this fall.

So sorry about your dh...hope for him to be better soon.

So frustrating. I had a big post already to go and somehow made it disappear. Happy Thanksgiving grammadee ! Are the rest of you all from the United States or are there some international Pokeys? nylene I hope your husband is feeling better. I think you asked if I did LOAD every month. No, it's only in October, February, and May. kellyr21 I can't wait to see your shaker cards. LisaDV I'm so sorry to hear about your soup. That is frustrating. scrapincin enjoy your baseball playoffs. My dad was a Yankees fan, but I'm mostly indifferent (although I will jump on the Blue Jays bandwagon occasionally.) msliz I think you showed restraint with your purchases. I spent $30 on digital supplies yesterday and I'm still primarily a paper scrapper. DH was able to get someone to cover his on-call shifts, so he could come to my mom's for Thanksgiving. My sister is also here. Unfortunately, my brother threw out his back and couldn't join us. We had our big meal yesterday, and then this morning we helped mom get the yard and garden ready for winter. Here are my latest LOAD pages. It's funny that grammadee and I used the same papers. Good Morning! I want to wish all our Canadian friends a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING !!!I hope you all have a very enjoyable day with family and friends. nylene so sad to hear about Steve. Poor guy! You two keep getting one thing then another. I am sending you an email with a screen shot of your Alice in Wonderland layout in the Featured Layouts on Scrapbook.com. justjac Looks like you have been busy scrapping. Your pages are beautifully done and I will be leaving you love in the gallery later. grammadee Thanks again for organizing our card swap I don't know how we would get along without you and Nylene! Hope you have a great day too. kellyr21 I have been watching games-baseball, college and the Browns. Good thing most of them are only happening during the weekend. Otherwise I would get nothing done. Have not seen how your team is doing. You will have to update me. LisaDV you are so busy also I can not keep up. Have you ever received any feedback on your DD's testing at May? Ok going to get off of here. Have a great day everyone! I will check back later to see how everyone is doing!

Good Wednesday morning, Pokeys! Hope you are all well and enjoying your day. I am finishing up some prep work for some presentations I am scheduled to do on Saturday. Trying to get the handouts finalized. I have been working at this the last couple of days, along with helping dh with an outdoor project. When we had out house painted, he took down the makeshift kennel he had erected for puppies back in the year 2000. This summer he purchased a kennel fence that needs to be put together. Of course the lay of the land and the shape will be different from the standard construction, so now he is trying to make it work. Yesterday he needed help cementing in gate posts. On Monday, I put together a couple of scrapbook pages with photos my ddil sent me. She has 3 girls, but this year our dgs from Calgary is staying with them to go to university, so she made him pose for a photo as well. First Day BC style by Gramma Dee, on Flickr First Day BC style 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I have also been playing around with Christmas cards lately. I find a design or a set of supplies I want to use and then put together ten cards with that design (or a variation of it) using card bases. This morning I made ten which were inspired by a card I pinned on Pinterest. Here is one of them: tree cut outs by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Anyway, back to work for me... Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday everyone! scrapincin, so glad to hear the soreness is gone. Although I don't watch baseball on TV, I do hope the Indian's go all the way this year. Thanks for asking about dd. We go back to the mayo this weekend. We're just there on Monday (hopefully) for the one test (autonomic nerve test) they couldn't work in while we were there the last time. It's a non-invasive and she can have light meals. Just no caffiene or smoking 4 hours before the test, since she doesn't get either, we should be good. lol. The antibiotics they put her on for the small intestine bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) seemed to be doing some good but then they were gone and after a few days it was back to yuck for her. Right now she's fighting a cold. I just called the mayo yesterday, talked to one of the GI's nurses today. She thinks the dr. will just order another round of antibiotics without doing another test for SIBO. So I'm waiting to hear back. grammadee, I know this is late, but if it was just dh & I pumpkin pie is totally a meal! Oh, who am I kidding, even with the kids, it could be breakfast. I love your latest pages and card. I was all caught up in the gallery this morning, but now I see I need to head back over. We worked outside on Sunday afternoon and all day Monday. With uneven ground, it makes projects a bit more difficult. How many dogs do you have? I've told DH we need some type of fenced area for our dogs. That stinking beagle does really well and then every few days gets on a scent and runs off into the woods and someone has to chase him down. And now it's a month before deer season and so DH wants them leashed each time they go out. They need to run some. nylene, I hope Steve is doing better and the kidney stone passed or even better, shrunk. justjac, I left you love in the gallery on all of your layouts. I always enjoy seeing them. I think of myself as a paper scrapper too, but honestly, I can do layouts so much more quickly in digital form. Out of my current 211 layouts 131 are digital. Also I can work on a page while taking a break which includes eating lunch. I'm glad Dean was able to come with you to your Mom's. I'm sure you had a great time. Hope you had a safe trip home. I'm just trying to keep things moving at the moment and my head above water. I've totally lost my little calendar book and can't find it anywhere. I know I had it here at home. Just have no idea where to look next. I've spent most of my free time creating digital layouts. I'm trying to finish my 2009 Christmas pages. I've been working on them all year and I'm tired of having them loom over me. I hope to be back later this week and that everyone has a wonderful rest of the week.

Good Thursday morning, Pokeys! Hoping everyone is happily busy. Hope your trip to the clinic goes well, LisaDV. You are busy enough without all the extra travel, but hopefully they will be able to help her long term. Remember to look after yourself: your family does not need YOU getting sick! You asked about our dogs. We have two farm dogs--one mixed breed and one collie. They are not penned now day or night, nor when we are gone from the farm. But when a dog first comes to live here it is kept in the kennel at all times unless we are outside and spending time with the animal. Gradually we leave them out without so close supervision, locking them up at night or when we are away. When the dog has internalized that this is their territory, we give them free range 24/7. They are fed in the kennel, though. And their houses are in there. And we can lock them up if there is a new animal on the yard--whether or not it is canine--or if people who come are nervous around dogs or allergic to them. Sometimes dh locks them up if he is going further afield with the quad or tractor and doesn't want them following him. I SHOULD be busy doing laundry and getting this house cleaned, but instead I puttered around in here. Finished ten more simple Christmas cards for the swap. Then I put together a couple of back to school pages. school bus by Gramma Dee, on Flickr school bus 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

grammadee , what kind of presentations are you giving on Sat. I hope your weather has cleared up. I am loving your layouts with their cute photos of the grandchildren. I'll get to the gallery soon to leave some love. I love that Christmas card. It's gorgeous. justjac , you have done some wonderful pages. I looked at them in the gallery, but will leave love later. You are a trouper to keep doing LOAD even if it isn't every month. Great job! LisaDV , I was thinking you didn't go back to the Mayo until later in the month. Please be careful and I hope things go well with the testing. Hopefully they will have some great answers and cures for her. Hugs to you both. kellyr21 , I am worrying about you with the fires. I heard on the news that they were near Anaheim and I know you aren't far from there. Angie is just on the edge of the fire warning area. They have not had to evacuate, but the air quality is so bad that they have cancelled school. I am praying for no wind and lots of rain for your state. scrapincin , it was fun talking to you this morning. Thanks for the help with the Silhouette. To show how dumb I am, I went to Help and the manual and couldn't figure out how to get past the cover page. I almost called to see if you could tell me what to do, when I accidentally scrolled my mouse and Ta-duh! it moved. Boy, am I computer challenged!! @elaynef, my dress was made from double knit too. Mine was orange and my sister's was pink. Mom made hers. Small world, huh? DH began having really bad pains on Tuesday in a totally different area and with his previous abdominal cancers, we took him to Urgent Care and they sent him right to the hospital for 4 hours of testing. He was feeling better when those finished and we went to our addiction meeting and he began hurting again. We received a call from the Dr. who said to go to ER immediately. The tests showed no recurrence of cancer, but that he has some BIG stones that still need to be passed and were causing a blockage. They hooked him up to an IV and hydrated and sedated him for the night. Yesterday he had some discomfort but feels great today. What a week! He is a good patient and doesn't complain or do a lot of moaning and groaning. I hope they have all passed, but we are not holding our breath. Have a great weekend, everyone!

nylene, poor Steve. He's a trooper. I'm sure your an excellent nurse too. grammadee, We get deer, coyotes, bears and bobcats on our property as well as other smaller critters. Do you get any of those animals? Just curious. I left love on your latest layouts. They are really very cute. Happy Friday! I hope everyone has great weekend plans! I can live vicariously through you then. lol. We'll be leaving Sunday, have the test on Monday in the morning and having sushi for dinner, and come home on Tuesday. Yes, we already have our meal plan for Monday solidified. I gotta get to town today and then hopefully get some chores and packing completed. have a great day everyone.

Thanks for the love in the Gallery, Ladies! Glad your dh is beginning to feel better, nylene. I hope kellyr21 checks in soon. I had not realized the fires were that far south. What a year for natural catastrophes! Thanks for volunteering to get in touch with maribeth about the card exchange. LisaDV, we have seen moose, deer, and bear on our yard. We hear coyotes chattering not too far away most nights. The occasional skunk passes through. Our dogs aren't that fierce, but I think they are annoying enough to wildlife to keep them around the perimeter most of the time. Our two outdoor cats patrol for mice and squirrels that think they would like to live in the garage or figure out a way to get into the house. The dogs dig for moles and gophers in the garden. Not sure who does the most damage: the critters or the dogs? Today I assembled 10 quick cards from SU! kits. Not as quick as I thought they might be: these were kits from a class from a couple of years ago I did not attend for some reason. Anyway, the directions say to "adhere the [whatever] from the large bin". Of course the large bin is not in my scraproom, so that meant I had to improvise. Some of the sentiments were pre stamped, but most were not. Fortunately I have bags and bins of all manner of Christmassy stuff all over the place, so was able to finish these ten cards. This afternoon I am meeting justjac to drive to a nearby city to attend an adult education conference tomorrow. I have agreed to facilitate a couple of sessions--one on the nature of adult learners, and one on dealing with learners with different personalities. Not sure if anyone will sign up for those workshops, but I am ready if they do. Of course, before meeting up with Jac I "need" to stop at the LSS to pick up some Ella & Viv Christmas paper, and maybe something else that might catch my eye. I may also print some photos from our family reunion in August in prep for the weekend crop NEXT weekend. Must get off the computer and start packing my suitcase!

i know we are called the Pokey Peas and there is no one very pokey in the bunch! You guys make me tired just reading all the things you do! grammadee and justjac have a great weekend! I should know I do not need to tell you that cuz I am sure you always do. Grammadee I want to say Thank You for all the work you have done for the Hokey Pokey Card Exchange-I love that name! Now I have to figure out what cards I am going to make. I told everyone about how I work up a layout on the design screen on my Silhouette so I know everything is the size I want and I get to know ahead of time what it is going to look at. I worked up a tutorial and posted it on my blog if you would like to check it out. You can see it HEREGoing to try to make it ti the gallery as I know I am behind. nylene I enjoyed our phone visit also-so fun to actually be able to talk to one another. Need to go switch my laundry-I am behind on everything.

I have to thank scrapincin for this layout. I had 2 5x5 photos and couldn't decide what to do with them. I followed her idea of designing on the mat of the Silhouette. It worked really well. I decided to cut out the shape of one of the photos and then I cut little piggies just the perfect size to fit the two spots I had. Now why have I not figured this out before? It was easy to type the title and then adjust the size to fit right where I wanted it. I got a little crazy with the paint last night, but it still worked. Not a very colorful layout, but it was quite quick to do. Muddy Buddies (edit) by Nylene Budge, on Flickr

Happy Friday! Wishing you all a great day and weekend. I didn't get as much done as I hoped this week but next week should be better. No fires here thankfully! nylene, I hope your dd and family continue to be fire free too. What a year this has been with all these disasters. Sending hugs to you all and Oh grammadee, thanks again for organizing our card exchange for Christmas.

grammadee, my dogs do more damage than the gofers and moles too. Your conference sounds very interesting. I'd go to both of those topics. You are so awesome to continue to teach. I'm wishing you and justjac safe travels. nylene, super page. I left love early on it. I used to use silhouette to design my layouts in too. Especially when I was cutting lots of page parts with it. It really worked well for you. I love this page. kellyr21, so glad you checked in and that the fires are not by you. I pray that continues to be the case. I had to drive Don's big ol' honking truck to town today. He couldn't get in at his oil change place and so I took it to my quick place. Side swiped the concrete pole coming out of the bay. Yellow streaks all down the back quarter panel. The attendant grabbed a rag and wiped it all off and said "he'll never know". Of course, I told him I hit the pole anyway. Everything took longer than anticipated in town so what should have been a couple of hours in town turned into like 4, meaning at least 6 hours of my day gone with travel to and from home. After dh & I walked the dogs, I had some school work I needed to actually sit with dd for and then ds needed me to administer his weekly math tests. When all was said and done, it was after 6. I should have done something else productive, but... yeah, didn't happen. Tomorrow. Good night.

lisadv I'm always scraping something on cars...never been so fortunate to have it rub off though! kellyr21, so glad you checked in and that the fires are not by you. I pray that continues to be the case. Me too! So sad for all the terrible disasters that seem to be coming one after the other this year. nylene love those pigs..turned out perfect. hope you dh is better justjac, gramadee: hope yall have a safe and fun weekend! scrapincin -I am behind on everything. Me, too. DD and dsil visited last weekend and I have barely been in my room this week. She did make me some crochet sea turtles and flowers that I used today. I know Ive probably shown you that pic before, but I'm scrapping it 7 times....for each grandchild who was there. (and once for me) The other page is an "art print" that I get free from shutterfly frequently. I usually put it in a frame for a while then take it down and scrap them and put up new free art prints.

Love that you are included crocheted items on your pages, @elaynef. I hate driving dh's truck, LisaDV. Glad you were able to get the paint off the side. Glad you are safe, kellyr21. And I hope your family remains safe as well, nylene. scrapincin, you can't be behind in scrapbooking. Crafting is an art, and wherever you are is where you were meant to be. Conference went well, and justjac got me safely back to her home yesterday evening. I drove home from there. I had made up my mind not to make any more Christmas cards for awhile, but while I was clearing off my scrap counter I found enough materials to create another dozen this morning. But then I put the rest of the bits and pieces away into a bin for later. Finished a bd card I had started last week for our niece. My next tasks are to integrate some new purchases (Jac & I "happened" to stop at a LSS before heading home) into my stash, and start getting organized for our crop next weekend. My focus will be on getting the family reunion album finished for copying for Christmas gifts. Already have a tub of supplies and photos packed for that. But will also pack up my FALL supplies: I have some fun fall photos I took in Calgary, plus really cool ones sent by my dd yesterday. I have a large iris case of autumn themed papers. I need to add in leaf stamps and dies and stickers. Have a wonderful Sunday, Pokeys!

You are all such busy people. I love hearing about what's going on in your lives. @elaynef , what a nice grandma you are to make a page for each grandchild. I did have our Cousin Camp shirt photos printed for each of the kids, but I hadn't thought of scrapping them for each. Maybe I should do that! Thanks for the idea. I love your crocheted items in the scrapbook. That just adds one more layer of memories. grammadee , I am glad your presentations went well. It sounds like you and justjac just HAD to stop at the LSS. After all, you wouldn't want it to go out of business! LOL. Sounds like you two have some great plans together. scrapincin , I designed another page on the Sil mat and it was pretty easy. I still have some embellishments to finish and then I'll scan and post it. I've been playing with my oxide inks a bit too and have my cards all finished for Card Club this week. kellyr21 , I am glad you are safe. It didn't look like the fires were that far South, but I just heard something about Anaheim. Maybe it was a quality of air issue. Anj is still safe. I am hoping that those fires are soon put out. They are replacing all their flooring (from tile to luxury vinyl) so having the kids at home all day has not helped them with the work. They did help break up tile, but aren't big enough to be helpful with the vinyl. I hope you are getting your shop up and ready and are having a fun time creating. LisaDV , I hope the testing goes well today and that your DD is comfortable. I hope they will have some results for you also and some ideas of help and hope. Hugs and prayers for both of you. msliz, are you getting any time to create? I hope so. I get really grumpy when I don't get into my scraproom for a while. Have you scrapped those gorgeous photos you posted during our Photo A Day? I need to go get dinner. DH is still doing well, still has some stones that will have to pass, but not in pain at the moment. We drove up into the canyon on Saturday to see the last of the beautiful leaves. We stopped at a little 50's type joint and had hamburgers and milkshakes for lunch. It was a fun day and warm enough to enjoy it. BBL

Good evening Peas! It has been chilly here the last couple of days-down in the 40's-even had a light frost last night. Autumn has arrived! nylene the new page is so adorable! Alex looks so cute munching on that donut! You are so welcome for the design tip. It does make life easier and you are not wasting paper and embellishments! grammadee can you tell me a little more about the card exchange because I have no idea and would like to know how many cards to make etc. Thanks in advance as I know you will share kellyr21 So who are you rooting for to go to the world series I am rooting for the Astros and the Dodgers. Ok going to the gallery in a few to leave Nylene some love . Have a good night!

Good Tuesday evening, Pokeys. Love your page, nylene . Sounds like your new way of using Silhouette is a real time saver! Please don't get so speedy that you leave all the Pokey Peas behind! Good to hear from you scrapincin ! As for the cards, we have 8 people signed up, so that would mean we would each make and send 7 cards. If we manage to track down the other two, we would add 2 to each of those totals, but no more than 9 cards each. Target is to have them ready to put into the mail by December 1st. How did the appointments go, LisaDV ? Hope you had a good trip. Looking forward to seeing this years' cards, kellyr21 . Glad you got to drive out to see the fall foliage, nylene . Ours were lovely a couple of weeks ago, but huge winds came through and whipped them all off the trees. Dh has been spending the last few days lawn sweeping and working the leaves into the garden. We have had a few days of nice weather but it is raining and snowing tonight and very cool. I have some lovely fall photos from my weekend in Calgary to scrap this next weekend. And dd sent some awesome shots of their little guy at the scarecrow festival, the Terry Fox run, and just hiking through the woods. Can't wait to get them printed to scrap this weekend as well. The only thing remotely crafty I have done this week is yesterday I played with paints and sprays to create a few background papers for my fall pages. Basically, I just plopped globs of some orange, gold, red & brown paint on a sheet of cs, then used a roller to spread it all over 2 sheets. When it was dry, I spritzed it with various sprays until I liked the looks of the pages. Ended up with about 8 pages. Some may end up as bg pages. Some I may diecut into leaves and vines to layer over the top or... I spent today organizing my crafting supplies, and decided that rather than make it a two step process of cleaning and then packing for the crop, I would just pack what I needed while I cleared off my counters. So all that has to happen now is for the totes to be loaded into my vehicle. Will probably do that on Thursday. Anyway, have a good evening!

msliz , are you getting any time to create? I hope so. I get really grumpy when I don't get into my scraproom for a while. Have you scrapped those gorgeous photos you posted during our Photo A Day? Thanks for asking, but no. No time at all for creating, unfortunately. I've been working on my yard and my gardens, trying to get the shrubs cut back and the weeds pulled out, and everything ready for raking before the leaves start to pour down. And trying to get stuff out of my house and off to the donation centers. And doctors appointments, and homework, and this and that... But I signed up for a crop happening this coming Saturday, so I'll get to enjoy myself then. Aside from some vacation photos, I haven't printed anything from 2017. I'm having a little trouble deciding what pages to work on come Saturday, older stuff or newer stuff... hmmmm. I'm loving all the projects you're all posting, and I just want to be making pretty things too. But I just have to keep telling myself that I'll have all winter to play with my scrap goodies after I get my work done.

Have fun msliz ! grammadee and I are at a crop this weekend, too. It is Friday evening-Sunday afternoon. I have not started packing for it or finished cleaning my house (I will have two house guests for the weekend.) Here are my latest LOAD pages. Sorry for dumping so many on you at once. I'll try to post more frequently for the rest of the month. msliz, grammadee, and justjac, I hope you have wonderful adventures at your crops and that you accomplish a lot. LisaDV, how were things at the Mayo this trip? How are your chicken doing? Are you enjoying the eggs? scrapincin,I want to spend all my time in my scraproom playing with my Silhouette now that I am able to do more things on it. My house is suffering because of it. LOL Thanks again for your help and for your comments on my layouts on SB.com. Not much going on here, which is really great after last week's trips to the ER. DH is feeling well and the kids are out of school for Fall Break. I have been asked to volunteer at a school just 4 blocks from me doing the same program I have done for the last 3 years. It will be fewer days and fewer hours and that's probably good. I have really missed the children. Be back later. Have a great day everyone.

Have fun playing with crayons, @elaynef! Your youth group projects sound delightful! And a hiking trip to Arkansas sounds exciting. This is the time of year in this neighborhood where we plan indoor activities! By November, it will be more than cool... Have fun at your crop, msliz! I have to admit that the new stuff always draws me like a magnet. New photos burn a hole in my pocket. I NEED to get them onto pages first. And that is a good thing, b/c once I am on a roll the scrapping comes easier, and so I find that I can actually scrap the older ones without being stymied by all the questions of what photos to use and what to say about them. Starting with the older ones, trying to stay on track and start scrapping where I left off just seems to feel like WORK, and then the creative side of my brain shuts down. I am glad you are considering getting back into volunteering, nylene. When you get as much joy from your work with kids, you can't help but spread joy, too. And it sounds like it will be convenient and not take up all of your time. I have enjoyed seeing justjac's LOAD projects in the Gallery here, and am looking forward to seeing them IRL this weekend. My crop supplies are all in the vehicle. I just need to pack my suitcase and do a few things around here, and then I will be on my way to the crop. What can be more fun than a weekend play date and sleepover? Have a great weekend, Pokeys! I hope it is as fun &/or relaxing &/or as productive as you want it to be!
