We do have extras but not a fantasy car lol. My fantasy 'extra' car would be either a vintage mustang or Ford Bronco. I have a newer mid sized SUV, DD has her little Nissan, DS has his little tuner Civic, DH has a 10 year old Dodge truck (which is primarily a work truck now), a Harley and an older Jeep. We also have a 2003 Landrover that is the biggest money pit and POS ever, we've been trying to sell it for months but it isn't moving. The boy who lives with us (DS's BFF) also has a motorcycle. So it looks like we have our own personal used car lot going.
The Jeep is a perfect back up car for the boys if one of their is in the shop or if it's raining and can't ride the motorcycles - it's also fun to ride around in the summer! DD doesn't drive the jeep and I don't drive a stick all that well so I typically avoid driving it. If it came down to hers being in the shop, I'd let her take mine and I'd drive the Land Rover - it's too big and has too many quirks for her to comfortably handle (she's only been driving since June).
A Mini Cooper seems like it would be a lot of fun to drive! I have been in an SUV of some kind for almost 20 years and I don't think I'll ever want a car again for my primary driver, but I can so see having something small and convertible in a few years when the kids are out of college to zip around in (if finances allow of course)

My husband has our old van. I drive the newer van. My husband bought my dream car for me two years ago. An 80's jaguar. Think whitesnake video. Her name is Tawny. I feel great when I drive it, but I don't drive her often because I'm afraid of giving her a scratch.

A few summers ago my DH and I bought a snazzy little 1989 LeBaron convertible. It is so much fun to drive with the top down on a beautiful day. We only use it 5 months of the years and store it during the cold months but we still love it.

We have 4 cars for the 2 of us. Honda (dog car, grocery car), Acura (my car) old Ford truck (running around, hunting, Home Depot), new Ford truck (road trips). DH just got this one and he deserved it. Old Ford truck is a 1987.
I am toying with a mid size SUV when the Honda goes. Then Acura will move to dog car, etc. etc..

I drive a Chevy Traverse and I am due to downsize it soon, and will most likely go with a smaller SUV/Crossover type thing. But I dream of having a big ass truck to make our life on our little homestead easier hauling feed, straw, garden supplies, etc. Plus, I dream of getting an RV in a few years when we are empty nesters and need a big truck to haul it. DH has a little sports car that I hate being in, and won't give it up. I can't justify driving a big ass truck as my full time vehicle due to the bad gas mileage. But I still would love to have one. :-)

"My" second car is a baby blue 4 door Chevy bel air. I put my in quotes because I picked it out but it's a standard and I have a lot of trouble driving a modern standard, never mind a 3 on the tree and even if I could, the seat is so far back I can't reach the pedals. I make dh drive us around in it and the kids love it.
Her name is Senora because she "shake shake shake". Actually that was from when we got her and dh wasn't punching the gas hard enough so the whole car would do a shimmy. It's really fun to go for a ride but we only stay locally because I'm concerned about getting into an accident at high speeds with only lap belts. The kids are in car seats but those too are only held in by lap belts versus the latch system in my car.
We like to put our Pandora station on a 50s artist and go get ice cream or to the park. Unfortunately we have had zero time to do so this summer!

We have a fun extra vehicle. My husband has always loved Broncos, so we have a 1995 Bronco that has been all fixed up and detailed. It's black with deep red ghost flames, and it's got a 4 inch lift in it. My husband had a custom soft top made for it, so in the summer we usually have the top off, unless it looks like rain and then we'll put the soft top on. I love driving it, it's so much fun to go around in.
Due to the area we live in, a 95 Bronco in perfect body shape is really rare, so we get a lot of comments and questions about it. We live way up north where there is a lot of snow and salt, so most Broncos that you see are all rusted out, or made into plow pickups. My husband found this one in Las Vegas, and it's always been down south, so there is no rust at all. We only drive it in the summer, as we don't want it to start rusing due to the weather we have here. Although, I would love to drive it in the winter, because if I ever would get in an accident it is solid steel!
Even the story of how he got it is fun, he'd been looking on Craigslist in areas down South for a vintage Bronco, and happened to find this one that had a lot of the modifications that he wanted already done to it. Even though it wasn't as old as he was looking for, he called and talked to the guy, we got as much information we could, including new pictures and the VIN number so I could search it on Carfax. He called a friend of his on a Tuesday and asked him if he would like to fly to Vegas with him on Thursday and drive a vehicle back, and the friend said sure why not. So the two of them flew out there, got a taxi from the airport to the guy's house, bought the vehicle, spent a few days in Vegas, then took 2 days driving back to North Dakota. They had a great time, and we love the vehicle.
