Mine is simple this month..find time to scrap! I really want to complete all the monthly challenges. Next 2 weeks are crazy because I'm getting married on the 14th, after that I should have a lot more time to scrap and hopefully get to all of the challenges. Woo hoo! That's exciting! Will it be a big or small wedding? Congrats! Thank you! Pretty small about 40 or so people but my first one I eloped so this is big for me lol. I'm so excited and as a bonus I will be taking lots of pics of my 4 kids together because that opportunity is so rare!! I can't wait to take lots of family photos!!!

my October goals: -- Unpack all the supplies I took to my weekend retreat and get my craft room re-organized (somewhat) -- Clear off the desk in my scrapbook room so I can work in there if I want to and keep it cleared off. -- Finish the final details (embellishments and journaling) on the layouts I made last weekend at my retreat and put them in their respective albums. -- Start working on making Christmas cards- both for my own Christmas list and for the NSBR Christmas card swap. -- Make the October pocket letter for the swap with my sister that I have going on -- Scrapbook at least one weekend afternoon during the month: continue my monthly pocket pages catch-up and complete at least some of the layouts I started making last weekend. -- Edit / send at least 125 more photos to Costco to be printed. eta: do at least 4 layouts for my Hawaii trip album-- I have the AZ Memorial and Pearl Harbor layouts pre-made; I need to add the photos and embellish them. ...it's already one day later, and I haven't done a THING, lol! I'm looking at this list thinking it's REALLY ambitious. Perhaps that's the reason I always end up not getting things done, because I get over-ambitious?!? lol!! I know I won't get all of these things done, so I'm going to choose my top 4 to focus on. -- Finish the final details (embellishments and journaling) on the layouts I made last weekend at my retreat and put them in their respective albums. -- Make the October pocket letter for the swap with my sister that I have going on -- Edit / send at least 125 more photos to Costco to be printed. -- Start working on making Christmas cards- both for my own Christmas list and for the NSBR Christmas card swap. (complete at least 20 cards)

My goal for October is to scrap my September and October photos for my Fall album, plus 3 single pages: Fall title page, September and October calendar pages.
I will be attending a weekend crop this month, and during that I hope to finish the album for the family reunion so I can get the pages scanned and ready for distribution either electronically or in print to my brothers' families for Christmas. Not sure how many 8 1/2" pages it will take.
I also need to create two bd cards this month, and I want to continue using scraps from Christmas past as well as past card kits to build up my supply of Christmas cards so I can have enough not only for my "usual" list, but also to participate in the Pea exchange.

My goal for October sounds simple, but it's a chore: reorganize my entire scrapbook room. Right now there are boxes stacked on the floor and used items sitting out instead of being put back in their places. I'll post an "after" when I'm done. The "before" is too embarrassing to share! So, the boxes are still there, but are neater and some have been replaced by proper Iris storage boxes. I actually found the floor! The desktops are clear and everything has been put back in place. Debating whether to share a photo - it's still not pristine in there!

OK, y'all asked for it and here it is. it would be a nice room if I didn't have so much stuff and have it stacked everywhere. There are two tables in the room - one smaller one to the right of the door that isn't very visible. There are more shelves to the left of the door that I couldn't get in the shot. And yeah, I love to label everything! TFL.
Here's a shot from the opposite direction:

I love it! I have the same sort of setup, with a whole wall of shelves. I just can't ever get my stuff put BACK onto the shelves when I'm done with a project... I loooove paper; seeing your picture makes me want to shuffle through the boxes to see what all is there, lol.

I've completed my Christmas cards, finished last year's DD and two Oct birthday cards so that's a weight off my mind. My next goal is to do a few more layouts for my 1990s travel album - I just keep plugging away at it each month. That means scanning and printing more photos as the first task.

I just decided to do a quick page count to see where I'm at.
Since Feb on my living history photos project I have done about 150 layouts.
Since May in my current photos albums I keep for my boys I've done 117 layouts.
I didn't count pages from Jan thru April.
So setting goals to aspire to - I have possibly 2 crops in October. I'd like to do another 50 layouts in my living history project and keep up with any current photos. If one crop is cancelled I'll have to cut that goal in half.

OK, y'all asked for it and here it is. That is amazing to have all that stuff so nicely organized! I have about 1/3 of that and it is all in a big pile all over the place.

I haven't really kept track, but I know I haven't done anywhere near that many... maybe 50-ish for the year??

I'm almost finished with the 3rd digital challenge out of usually 9 per month. I've concentrated the first 3 challenges all on 2009 Christmas pages.
I forgot dd & I were making a tote bag first to help her with her sewing. We pieced the pattern which was printed on my printer, and cut out the pattern and prewashed our fabrics. I just have to finish ironing it all (almost done). She's also cut out her pants pattern with my help. The tissue paper was much harder to work with than printer paper and her lament was heard all through the house. lol.

Did ten Christmas cards this morning using scraps from my Christmas stash. Most have bits & pieces of some very old LYB diecuts. Attachments:

I'm so impressed with all of your progress, ladies. It's inspiring. I'm still lacking any mojo but I have a free afternoon ahead of me and I'm going to try to push myself to sit at my desk and do something. I have fun once I get started. I just need to get started!

I did manage to get myself to do some scrapping yesterday and I was so glad I did. I scrapped some pictures from a 2001 trip to the Oregon coast and it was great to relive those memories. I'm sorry I started to feel like it's a chore. I did a two page layout and a one page layout. I also ordered some Say Cheese III and will hopefully start that album on Tuesday. Now I need to get some journaling done and a few titles and I'll really be back on track.

As I was looking for the shadow boxes I want to use for my Halloween project, I decided to clean out a messy shelf of office supplies to make room for some scrappy items that needed to be organized. It turned into an "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" job. I found the boxes, organized kits, mixed media items, adhesives, tools and embellishments. After all that, my work table looks like a Halloween explosion, no crafting was done, I strained my back, and now I don't feel like doing anything else. At least the closet floor is clean.

Ah, but oaksong , there is a story about a little old lady who came home from the store with something pretty (a lamp? a vase?) and put it on her dresser. When she looked at it, she decided the top of that dresser should be cleared off and polished to match the treasure. That, of course, led to a whole house cleanup. But I don't remember her straining her back in the process... Hope you feel better today. Speaking of messes, as many of you know, I never clean after each project. I just keep grabbing and gluing until my room reaches critical mass where everything I need is buried or everything I don't need is falling off the counters onto the floor. Works okay if I am working on--say--all summer LO's, b/c what I need for the next page is probably right within arm's reach. But now I have the detribus from TWO projects littering my room. I have been working on Christmas cards, AND I have started doing fall themed pages. SORT of have them separated, but they are starting to get intermingled. I have scrap crap all over this room, but a little space on one of my counters where I could work on cards or another page if Mojo decides to walk through the door. I think whatever I DON'T choose will be distracting me, so I need ALOT of mojo...

I hate when preparing to scrap is so tiring that I end up not scrapping. I hope you can get some rest and feel better soon. I got my Say Cheese III today and I'm so excited to start on my album! There's nothing like Disney to get me excited about scrapping again.

I've managed one page this month so far. I didn't expect much to anything done yet so I'm happy about that. Hoping I will have more time to scrap next week.
