Williams Sonoma posts some of the yummiest recipes. I just got an email that had the complete recipes for Thanksgiving dinner and I’m drooling over them all. I felt like for a few years our family Thanksgiving meal got so boring. Same old recipes. I love some traditional passed down recipes but loooove a more eclectic menu. This will be perfect. Omg that menu looks amazing!! It's so funny, our Thanksgiving dinner is identical year after year. We might change up dessert every once in a while, but the dinner itself never changes. We love it, so it's hard to try something different  |

I’ll have to make Green Bean Casserole or two uncles and cousin might revolt. But that’s okay. I’ve been making the Barefoot Contessa’s recipe for that for years without anyone knowing. All fresh from scratch, no canned green beans and soups. It’s so much tastier.

But I figure if I’m hosting, spending days cleaning, prepping, shopping, and a fortune on groceries then it’s my choice what I serve. It’s really only a few of the older relatives that ever balk. And they’re just crotchety old farts who will complain one way or another about something. |

Oh that looks so yummy! I might have to try to sneak a few of these in this year. I share cooking duties with my sister and the family loves the traditional regulars, but I do like to sneak something new in each year... Maybe I have a second thanksgiving for DH and I with all this yumminess?

I've made the green bean bundles before and they're really good. I may add the sweet potato recipe in place of my traditional sweet potato soufflé this year.

Just my humble opinion, please be sure your Family is okay with a change of menu.
In my Family, if someone went and changed everything, there would be a mutiny and a lot of pissed of people. Extra (new) food dishes are always welcome, however the old favorites cannot be removed from the usual traditional menu.
Actually, it would be hard to pull a change on my Family, as everyone has their usual assignments, and if someone decided to change things up and ask me to bring something different, I would be saying "hell no". Thank goodness, my Sister who is always the host, is a firm believer of our usual traditional favorites Thanksgiving.
