Dh has the same cold I've had. I'm guessing he'll want soup. So, I might make chicken soup. It'll warm him up and hopefully help him heal, eventhough I don't have a matzoh ball to put into the soup.
What's on your menu?
Have a great day.

Tonight is easy comfort food here. Meatballs with mashed potato, gravy and vegetables - probably broccoli as I have that left over from last night.

I have a stuffed pepper soup in the crock pot The recipe called for rice, but I’m going to use ditalini instead. Thursday’s are my “I have enough time to eat, but not enough time to cook” days (go from one job, to another). So the slow cooker is becoming my friend

I'm thinking maybe a pork tenderloin for dinner. I leave a week from today for my semi-annual scrapbook retreat in Sutter Creek and I am NOT READY! I have to decide what to work on and make sure the pictures are available. Better get on the ball.

Salmon wraps....(no, I don't like fish. At all!). And no more lemon mousse, either....

For our dining pleasure this evening we will be enjoying rib eye steaks, baked potatoes, macaroni salad, and peaches. We have cheese and bacon bits to go on the baked potatoes. We have been watching Jeopardy while eating supper and the 7 day winner is over 260,000 now. He is an interesting fellow, a bartender in his 30s with a quirky personality. I am in awe at the knowledge he has. Most of the questions fall under useless information for me but every once in a while I know a bunch of the questions but this guy knows a lot about a lot of different categories. He is also really fun to watch.
Happy Thursday Everybody!

Hugs leannec. I have an appointment with my oncologist at 4:00 near where we used to live. We’re going to the little restaurant nearby for dinner afterwards. I should have a salad but really want carbs...we’ll see what wins!

Healing wishes for Mr scrapmaven. Hoping your personal issues resolve quicker and easier. Sending you hugs leannec. Wishing good luck with your appointment KelleeM. Tonight is chili and cornbread muffins. I made a plan YESTERDAY so I don't have to go to the store TODAY. We get our new screen door in tonight. The salesman ordered the wrong door, so when they were getting ready to put it in, SO noticed it was wrong. That door was not to be a full screen...we have dogs. reason one and two Not good. So we have been living for the last couple of weeks with a screenless door. I don't like it. Nope, not for me. And in our climent, not feasible - too many bugs and I like a door open. But I have noticed a couple of houses with front doors without the screen doors. Looks unfinished to me, but that's what I am used to.

I've had an exhausting day, but not because I've been moving around all day. I sat at a conference table with four other teachers for about 5 hours as we worked on our reports from our observations yesterday. Sitting (and thinking about boring things) can really make you tired! I came home, made cheese enchiladas and rice for DH and a taco salad for myself. Went and got my haircut...finally home for the day and ready for my evening walk. I hope the walk wakes me up. Thinking of you tonight leannec and wishing you a better tomorrow. KelleeM, here's hoping your appointment was routine and your dinner wonderful.

We are meeting my family at my friend's Mexican restaurant after TKD tonight. So, a late night for my boy, but we'll eat fast and go home. We have six pages to go in HP#5 so he'll be in a hurry to get in bed and start reading. On Friday he gets out early, and we'll watch the movie after school. Life is good. ETA sending you good thoughts, leannec.

And I had haddock and french fries...delicious!
