Just in case anyone's been wanting it, right now Kohl's has the Lorac Pirates of the Caribbean eyeshadow palette on sale for half off @ $26, which is pretty good for a palette. They also have the Pirates of the Caribbean lip glosses/lipsticks on sale.

Teddyw- for darkness under your eyes try a peachy corrector/concealer instead of a traditional concealer. I love Benefit Boi-ing (used to be called Erase Paste) It's also not drying and I find it doesn't accentuate fine lines or texture. When you look at it you'll think it's way to dark/orange...but it really works well. I use shade 2. I set it with a little Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder for Under Eyes. I blot it on with a beauty blender and then brush off the excess with a fluffy brush.

cmpeter Did you say that you started skipping a day with the Careprost when your lashes got long or did I imagine that?

Also wanted to add that Tarte has a bunch of palettes and lip products on sale today only, up to 70% off. And Macy's seems to have some great deals too, although I'm not sure how long they last for. And if you have that 20% off everything coupon from Ulta, the Lorac Pro Mega Palette 3 is on sale for $44 right now from $59, and with the extra discount, would be $35ish, which is a better price than even the regular Lorac Pro palettes. And yes, yes I have wasted too much time looking at makeup that I'm not going to buy today.

I've used their Night Repair for years but stopped when they reformulated it. I've looked for other products but haven't found anything that works as well. I found a travel size jar when I was cleaning out my cosmetics last week. So I started using it again. Their eye treatment is thicker and feels really nice and soothing--a little goes a long way. I've just used the trave sized jars I've gotten as free gifts. Since I just turned 40, I'm going to buy a full-sized jar of that as well. Just using the Estee Lauder for a couple of days has made a noticeable difference in my skin. I use the advanced night repair as a serum after I wash my face at night--I use the No 7 sensitive skin wipes from Target or micellar water. Target sells a two pack for $10, so I keep a pack beside my bed along with the pack in my bathroom. The wipes work really well on my normal eye makeup--when I use liquid liner for a cat eye and extra mascara, I add some micellar water on the wipe and rub gently. These products don't irritate my skin or make my eyes burn. I made my own face oil from organic rosehip oil, jojoba, shea oil, and sweet almond. I got a box of cobalt glass bottles with dropper caps on Amazon, and some small cobalt glass bottles with the roller balls. I keep the small roller bottle in my nighttime skincare bag. I roll the oil on over the serum. I tried the Oil of Olay serum, Regenerist, Luminous, and ultimate eye cream, but the perfumes and ingredients are irritating my skin. I'm going back to the Clinique Moisture Surge Dry moisturizer. I use it for daytime as well, and just put some La Roche-Possay Anthelios 60 spf over it. For my hands and body, I love L'Occitane Shea Butter products. The shea butter hand cream and shea butter body cream.--both are super thick and rich and last a long time. With no perfume. For my really dry, cracked skin, I use their Shea Butter--just a little swipe is enough to cover the skin around all my fingers and rub all over my hands. I got a tin of it in January and still have most of it left. I do like the Lavande and Rose hand lotions when I want a lighter weight hand lotion. A local department store sent a mailer saying that this weekend they have a deal buy the advanced night repair and get the eye serum free. And you get the EstΓ©e Lauder gift with purchase so I think I'm going to try it. Sounds perfect. I always wait for the gifts with purchase--usually at least one department store is running a special.

I bought the Nyx Butter Lipgloss and I love it. It seems more wet than sticky. I am a lip gloss girl rather than lipstick. I also ordered Olaplex for my hair. It hasnβt come yet. Next up is the Carepros lash lengthener.

Or if you want to be on trend, the Fenty holiday collection. Have fun! I'm jealous.

Buying makeup isnβt as much fun when you are with your dad. He didnβt seem to want to go shopping so I didnβt get anything good. Maybe I will pass another makeup store. I loved the ones I have been in so far. I think that will be my best bet.

I just watched Angie from Hot and Flash review Too Facedβs new peach foundation. She said it was really fragranced. That will probably make it a no from me. Darn! Plus she had trouble finding her shade. Doesnβt sound like ghost is a option.

I cant think of any brands in a EU Sephora that you wouldn't be able to get in US Sephora but I could be wrong. Let us know if you pick anything up though!

Does anyone have a good anti-aging eye cream recommendation? I currently use one that I like but don't *love* and I'm just about out, so I'm thinking I want to try something new. Anti-aging is the most important feature, brightening is always nice too.
What's your favorite?

It is βmedicalβ grade but does that make a difference? I am not sure. My bff says my eyes look dehydrated.

I was under the impression it's one of their core colours and not from a collection. I can buy it on Amazon UK so it must be easy to find.

I have had two bad bottles of OPI's Bubble Bath, just to let you ladies know. I haven't tried that shade in a few years though. Hopefully, that particular polish colour is better quality these days. I'm looking into purchasing a couple of colours from NCLA's collab' with Laina Rauma. Has anyone tried a shade from that mini collection? Quick reviews greatly appreciated. I'm particularly interested in Bath to Bed at 7PM on a Friday and I'm not Your Type, Bro, I Promise.

I quite love that colour. If I am feeling energized tonight when I get home I may paint my toes with it. I really love it! Thanks for the recommendation!!!

I am looking for a new everyday type foundation. I was using Revlon Colourstay Whipped for many years but it seems to have been discontinued. I don't necessarly need something with super staying power but something that will stay on for half a day at least. I have tried and liked Loreal Nutrilift Gold which is quite light and dewy but doesn't have the greatest staying power. I always use a primer and translucent powder over the top.
I'm also looking for a "going out" type base. I have used my daughter's Nars and Mac which I love but she is 20 and I'm nearly 52 so I think they are a bit too matte for my older skin. They may have other formulations which will be better. I live in a regional area so no stores like Sephora or Mecca or major department stores which makes it tricky. I can go into one when I visit Adelaide or Melbourne I suppose but that might be awhile away.
Any suggestions?

Do you have a good pharmacy near you ( drug store) that sells makeup? I have one a little ways away - 10 min by car and they sell cheap to expensive. My opinion is you need to get colour matched to get the right shade. Also do you have dry, regular or oily skin. I have bought Chanel and my skin is way too dry for it. I use Fenty and like it a lot. I did get matched and was sold ghost in a bottle #130 by Fenty.
For now get something cheap and get it matched to your skin tone and try it. You donβt need to spend a fortune to look beautiful!

My fingernails are a mess with hangnails. One finger is a total disaster. It has 3separate sores on it. What do you put on hangnails to speed up healing time?

What do you put on hangnails to speed up healing time? neosporin with pain relief and a bandaid. then, you want to get in a habit of putting on a decent handcream so that your cuticle areas stay hydrated and you don't develop the hangnails in the first place.

Yes I definitely want to get colour matched in person. We do have a good pharmacy that sells most brands including Estee Lauder and LancΓ΄me etc which I might consider for a "going out" foundation. My daughter thinks Mac and Nars are much better though so I might have to wait for that one. The everyday one is more "urgent" but I don't want to buy a heap of stuff and waste money.

Ok I will work harder at keeping my skin better hydrated. All my skin is very dry right now. I swear I go through water like a fish. My family even comments I drink a lot. I need to lather on moisturizer day and night I think. Apparently I am failing at this part of taking care of myself.

EstΓ©e Lauder was my go to foundation forever. I had excellent luck and coverage with it. I like having a pump bottle now but EL cosmetics are excellent and I have had great luck with them. I use their face wash every night and love it! I use their foaming cleanser to take my makeup off.
