This is not a bad thing, but he loves to chew. We have a very cute rescue pup and the chew toy they sent with him is almost completely chewed up. These are not toys that should be ingested, but he is a very aggressive when he chews, so he is basically trying to eat them. He only chew his toys, so I want to make sure we have things ok for him to chew on.
What are some things he can chew on that are safe to ingest, because he will chew until it is gone?
Thank you.

We have a puppy now too. We decided that it was much better to spend $100 on dog-appropriate chew toys/rawhides than $500+ in shoes, wallets, glasses, leather belts.
Don’t skimp on the chew toys and consistently remove non-chew toys and replace with a chew toy. We’ve still lost a few slippers with the puppy, but that is it so far.

Frozen carrots are the best for a teething pup! My dog also likes gnawing on deer antler and it lasts quite a long time. Rawhide isn't good for dogs, especially if they are ingesting it.

This is my philosophy for puppy toys as well. It’s as much about teaching them what they CAN have. A lot of dogs outgrow the chewing phase, but some are lifers. Teach them from the beginning and you will be set. Emma is 5 now, but every now and then she pulls out a bone and gnaws on it for all she’s worth. Bones, deer antlers, the West Paw mentioned are all good choices. And we used to give Emma boxes from shipping or groceries. You have to watch them, but most dogs will spit out the pieces. They just like the destruction. Watch for tape, staples, wires, etc. I used to pull the tape off a box and glue it shut with a milkbone inside. It would take Emma a good 15 minutes or so to get to it. A plus because she had to think about getting the treat out of the box too, once it was open.

YES! We just got 2 toys from this co recently and our doxie does not even leave bite marks in these toys. And he has chewed up a Kong before!

Not Zig Markers you just bought. Shoes to wear to an upcoming wedding aren’t good either.

Dream bones...made to look like rawhide, but no rawhide or pork hide. However, they only left my dogs a few minutes

I've given pups frozen baby carrots and a favorite has been a frozen wet washcloth tied in a knot. It can get a little messy on the floor but every pup I've ever had has loved them. Apple slices (no seeds) are also great and good for their tummy.

One our dogs is a chewer so we give her rope knot toys. We replace them with a new one when they get torn up. We also have them throughout the house where we are so she has a toy wherever we are.

Lots and lots of toys. You can't have too many. And make sure there are a variety of textures, squeaks, sizes, flavors. Stay away from rawhide, it's actually not good for them. Just because they sell it, doesn't make it okay. Try pig ears, our dogs of all sizes LOVE them. Butcher bones can keep a dog busy for hours. If you can find a deer antler, our Shepherd loves those too. Those rubber Kongs are good too.
Variety is the key. Good luck!
