Did anyone else get all the heads, threads and ribbon punches and different coloured ribbons from WRMK? I bought that a couple of years ago. I love looking at it all but honestly I have never taken it out of the package. In fact, it is in a Rubbermaid tote somewhere. I don't even know where anymore. I saw it at ACOT and had to have it. I mean it was ribbon for heaven's sake. I needed ribbon.
Anyone else jump on this bandwagon?

I jumped on it, big time! I bought all the heads, the mat, the case and the threads. And then a year later, when I hadn't used it once, I sold it.
I was annoyed with myself that I had spent all that money.

I loved the idea and waited for it's release. I bought the main head, which was all that was in at that time. I didn't like how it worked and didn't buy anymore.
I didn't have trouble with the head piercing the paper, but I couldn't run it in a straight line. So I went back to my stencils and the poke method for stitching.

This is one of my favorite tools, even if it doesn't always punch the holes.

I saw a friend run it over her paper one time, and then neither of us could figure out how we were supposed to stitch all of those holes. They looked like a jumbled mess of ... holes. Not a discernible pattern of any sort.

I like it for the holes, I don't sew them, but a friend of mine borrows it and sews away.

I don't have the one for ribbon - just the regular stitching one. Can't say I would've used the ribbon one at all, but I love the regular one. I saw a friend run it over her paper one time, and then neither of us could figure out how we were supposed to stitch all of those holes. They looked like a jumbled mess of ... holes. Not a discernible pattern of any sort. On their website, they have a direction sheet that shows the different stitches some of the heads will do and it numbers the holes for you so you can create the stitches. I can't stitch w/out that thing!

I was very VERY tempted to get this but resisted because it seemed like I never had any extra money laying around when all the stuff was coming out. Now I'm kind of glad I didn't because it's probably one of those things that I doubt I would have actually used all that much. I like the look of stitched layouts and I'm not opposed to the occasional putzy technique, but all that stitching would take way more time than I would be willing to spend.

I have a hard time going in a straight line too. However, I picked up the circle tool & this made the tool a keeper even though I don't use it very often.

I have this kit as well; my sister gifted me hers. I haven't done any actual stitching with the tool but I have used the threads for general hand stitching.

I passed, if I want to sew in a LO, a pencil and a paper piercer are all I need. I bought a ruler years ago that has evenly spaced holes that I use for straight lines. And my endless supply of embroidery thread.
I think hard about buying a specific scrapping tool any more. That "Fastenator" was a huge waste of money! I only used twice??? on layouts.
Everything else I make do. Or know I can make it as easily with out the tool.

Yes I bought a lot of it.. and I use it sometimes.. most I got on sale or clearance so I didn't spend a ton of money on it. Glad I have it but yeah I don't use it to much but once and awhile I get the urge to get it out and stitch a little.

I tested it out at CHA when it first came out and just couldn't get it to run straight so I passed on it. I like my Bazzill templates for any fancy stitching and use them alot!
