Anybody else start this? I watched the first two episodes last night and I'm hooked. Both the writing and acting are excellent. I am partial to shows set in the 70's and love the way the show captures the 1970s vibe. The pacing is a bit slow but I mean that as a compliment. One reason I dislike watching the typical TV cop drama is because they rush to have everything wrapped up in an hour. I'm enjoying the more deliberate pacing of this show. Very much looking forward to the series.

I didn't even know this was a series! I have read all of John Douglas' books and Google tells me that in the series the character called 'Holden Ford' (hard to believe they couldn't come up with a better name than that!) is based on Douglas - so I'll definitely be checking this out...thanks

Thanks so much for the suggestion. I also love shows set in the 1970's (that's the era I was a teen-I was 15 in 1975) I love your description and agree with you wholeheartedly about the pacing of shows. I will give this a try tonight.

It's 3:23 am and I just finished the season. So good. The first episode was shaky but I'm glad I stuck it out. David Fincher is one of my favorite directors so I had a feeling I would like this.
The funny thing is I had heard nothing about it, was just scrolling through looking for something to watch. Had no idea it just came out. Watched the whole thing and now everyone is talking about it. It's like, the first time ever I watched a show before other people instead of after everyone else has already seen it! 😄
Definitely recommend if you like true crime or movies like silence of the lambs.

I'm in a few true crime groups on FB so I've been counting the days for this to finally arrive. Only hade the chance to watch the first episode yet, but I am eager to binge the rest very soon. It will be interesting to see the portrayals of real-life criminals like Ed Kemper and Jerry Brudos.
And cinematically it's just beautiful!

I'm mid-way in. I find it odd that they make a point of showing the one guy smoking everywhere - on a plane, in restaurants, etc., because it's the 70s - but he's the only one. Wouldn't there be a bunch of people smoking in the background? It's just him.
I really dislike Holden's girlfriend. I think it's the way she barely moves her lips/face when she talks.

I've started watching it. Slow pacing, but it has a pressure cooker feeling to it for me.
Thus far I know: it's always the mother's fault! LOL

It is so interesting to watch them developing this “psychology” os a sequential killer. I’m completely hooked and watched last night until my eyeballs were rolling back in my head I was so sleepy.

I'm almost done, I think I have one or two eps left. Yes, the first episode I wasn't sure, but I'm glad I stuck with it, I'm hooked.

I'm loving the 70's music!

I've been seeing the ads for it when I watch the dvr'd episodes of "Cold Justice". I hadn't looked yet to see if it was out. Thanks for posting. Something for me to watch during my lunchbreaks!

I was falling asleep during the 1st episode but it wasn't the show's fault. I was just so tired, I couldn't hang on. I have had this bookmarked to watch, waiting for the air date. My husband ended up watching the first 3 episodes while I slept (so unlike us. Usually he falls asleep first!) so I will definitely re-start and catch up to watch it with him. He said it was good!

I loved this show!! Watched it all last week and am already missing it...I want more! Had no idea Kemper and Brudos were real people, so I’ll have to research those stories further. The final episode was SO GOOD...my heart was racing and I was in suspense wondering how it would end.

I am up to episode 10. I have to make myself stop because if left to my own devices, I would have stayed up and binges the entire season in a weekend.
TH walked through while I was watching and said, "Oh look, it's Jesse!" He recognizes Holden as Jesse from Glee.
