You know I didn't really like them all that much the first time around, but have to say this time it's a bit different and when Papertrey Ink came out with all that bright eye candy confetti, stamps, pp and dies..ugh I bought it and have to say I really am enjoying it this time.

For those of you who like shakers, I have been making a ton lately and have quite a few sets on my blog - Sabriolet DesignsI just visited your blog! Great blog,BTW. I love the ideas for the shakers. What have you use to make them thick? Foam tape? Thanks for sharing your ideas! Enviado do meu iPhone usando Tapatalk

I was using several layers of foam tape, but lately I've just been cutting frames out of paper and gluing them together to create the depth I need. It's a good way to use up paper that I have and don't like and won't ever use!

I made a birthday card for my nephew that looked like a washing machine; I put blue water and a drop of soap in the shaker box. It was stinkin' adorable, I should have taken a picture. Wrote something about "good clean fun" on the inside. I used the CTMH clear cards with the Stampin' Up shaker cup things (treat cups?). It held just fine, didn't leak when I sent it through the mail in a padded envelope.

Oh! Really you girls don't like them? I do! And I don't think they are that difficult do make. But I use it because I like it, not because it's trendy. Enviado do meu iPhone usando Tapatalk And just like KikiPea, many years ago, I made a shaker with sand and shells from a vacation. Like everything I do in scrapping, it has to fit in with my story. But, I wouldn't mind doing one with sequins just to get rid of a few that were part of monthly kit. I'm starting to get way too many of those.

I've never made a shaker card and passed on them when they first came around, though I've always admired them. I was browsing the PTI blog earlier and they are releasing some really cute dies for making shakers. I really want to try them now and they look like so much fun! Even my daughter is excited to try them.
