I am interested. We cut meat out of our diet the first of February. My husband is WFPB. We are in a serious rut, as I haven't had the time and/or desire to try new recipes.
Not sure what November is going to look like, though.

Seriously I subscribe to two different cooking magazines and I admit it, I never try the recipes. I need a challenge.

Pinterest has changed my life. I’m in. If I can force myself to cook without tweaking.

I love the idea of everyone trying one recipe and seeing the different reactions and photos.

What is the reason we would not be able to sub other items, freecharlie? It seems like folks are interested, but would like to sub some things for good reasons. It's still a new recipe to a cook, even if substitutions are made. As long as the substitution is noted on the recipe, it could work better for some people. Either way, I'm in. I need to make some different foods, especially in the cold months. In fact, I wish new veggies and new meats would be invented LOL.

Pinterest has changed my life. I’m in. If I can force myself to cook without tweaking. Most of the time, I try something new, I try not to substitute, but, it happens! A new recipe is a new recipe. LOL I had to do this with Burning Feather's Italian Beef. It was all the talk on the board and I just HAD to make it. We live out in the boonies and I didn't have a trip to the store planned. I didn't have any packets of that Lipton Onion Soup. Soooooooo, I googled and found a recipe to replace the soup. I posted on the thread my results and everyone's comments were cracking me up about my substitutions! LOL Gotta do what you've gotta do when you're hungry! I was delicious!

I'm in, I've often thought we should do this, I'm so glad you said something!
I don't think I'd participate as much if we all did the same recipe though. I'm on WW so I am somewhat thoughtful about the recipes I pick. I'm not completely strict, but I just think I'd participate far more if I could cook and share/review whatever.
I'm excited! Let's do this!

Sounds fun but I'm always subbing stuff in recipes (super picky eater here) For example I made sheet pan chicken fajitas and honestly just used fajita seasoning because who has time for mixing spices lol

I'm just thinking of the all recipes reviews of recipes where so much has changed that it isn't really the recipe.

You could do a cookbook club — pick one cookbook a month and then people cook from it, state which recipe they tried with photo and review. Otherwise things may be all over the place...(I’m in a Food52 cookbook club on Facebook and it’s a lot of fun - this months cookbook has been “Made in India” which is AMAZING

I follow someone on Instagram who picks a cookbook at the beginning of the month and then she makes 2-3 recipes per week and everyone shares pics/reviews of the recipes they’ve done from the same book.
So, for example, the book is Ina Garten’s Foolproof (if you don’t have it/want to buy it, it’s at the library) and everyone tries and reviews a couple of recipes From it. It’s ok to have repeat reviews. Sometimes there is one recipe in the book that is a star and everyone wants to try it.

I would most likely participate occasionally, but I’d have to sub some things depending on the recipe for certain dietary preferences/requirements. I don’t mind a single recipe, but a category could work, too, like Soup or Salad or Dessert, etc.
