FB has decided that we need to see notifications in the order they think we want to see them and not chronological order. Gee thanks. I don't get a ton of notifications anyway but now when I try to look at them, there is a delay in loading while FB decides which of them to put at the top. I have now watched a spinning circle for about 2 minutes straight (not exaggerating).
I guess it's not enough for them to decide what order posts should be.

I haven't experienced that, but I am annoyed that every time I go to Facebook I have to change it from Top Posts to Most Recent. I have missed a bunch of posts because of this. You have my sympathy. I find myself using Instagram way more often now because of it.

I bookmarked the "most recent" link and just use that instead of going to facebook.com. I did the same on my phone using a browser. I hate having to jump through hoops in the fb app to get them in most recent order. Instagram does the same thing but you can't even get them in chronological order. I love it when I comment on a post that showed up that day and then realize it's a week old and feel like a dummy.

Most recents isn't updating either. I'll see only a couple of new posts for the entire day. Been like that for weeks now.

Facebook delays notifications, sometimes up to a day. It is part of their plan to make you even more addicted to Facebook. I think this was on 60 minutes?

I hate facebook. I want to see all posts by my friends in the order they were posted, with new original posts on top. I don't care if someone posted on a weeks old post - that doesn't need to be moved to the top. Them deciding how I want my notifications is just the icing on the crapcake.

I hate the "top posts" too. For several days in a row, the same post appeared at the top of my feed when it was set at "top posts". My reply was the last in the thread every single time and no other replies to comments had been posted so nothing had changed, and I had clearly read it since I had commented on it. I think that was around the time I bookmarked the "new posts" link.

It's still driving me batshit crazy. I keep getting notification alerts and when I go to look, no notification. So now I have to scroll all through them because they're out of order. Or just click 'mark all read' which is what I've been doing. So I'm missing replies to posts, tags, etc.

I'm so frustrated. I'm in a black Friday deals group and she posts things as they come up on sale. It's a HUGE group and I've been missing posts because on my phone it displays what has been commented on first, though it feels like it's totally random.
I've been unfollowing (but staying friends) with almost everyone on FB, as I'm cutting it out but belong to a couple of groups for my kids that communicate almost completely through FB so I can't cut it out entirely. Plus the fact a few of my fiends have just had babies and I love seeing the baby images.

I am so glad I gave up FB last week. Every time I had logged on, I had to change from top posts to chronological.
That and on top of the sometimes mean political posts by friends, the same ol' same ol' posts (look she is at the gym AGAIN. Or she is making a fuss over the weather AGAIN. Or here we go so and so is once again on her soapbox about gun control), and being called out by special needs moms for not putting in the effort like they do (let me call the whaammmmbulance), I had enough.
I was always grumpy when on FB. Almost every other post irritated me.
So buh bye.
I also gave up Pinterest and Twitter. Looking at deleting Instagram too.

Using it allows me to see more of my friends' posts and eliminate ads, etc. Not perfect, but a whole lot better than FB on it's own. |
