Dh is feeling much better. It was a very fast relapse. So, he'll want regular dinner. I'm seriously thinking about chicken soup. If he wants chicken nuggets, I can make those, instead. I'll see how he's doing as the day progresses. Youngest ds will eat either meal. Cooking for 2 when one of those two is a picky eater is challenging. If my picky eater and leannec 's picky eater ever met and got married then we'd always know what was for supper each night, the exact same thing. What's on your menu? Have a great day.

I whined to dh this morning that I don't feel like cooking tonight ... I'm just really tired today and overwhelmed Amazingly, he said "Then don't." Yay So it is Fend For Yourself night tonight in my house ... dd#1 will probably revolt and then make mashed potatoes

I have a very busy schedule today, ending with a volleyball game at 6. (My daughters high school team that she cant play for this year due to heart issue) But, we like to go and support the girls on the team.
By the time that is over we will either have cereal at home or pick up Subway or something similar on the way home.

Cod in a sauce made from Creme fraiche, mustard, chives and tomatoes. DD claimed she didn't like it, so she mashed the potatoes and used half a bottle of ketchup on it. Blech! Poor little thing had her braces on today, so I decided I wouldn't press the fish issue (she has liked it before, sigh).

Japanese food for us tonight. I am making katsu karei which is deep fried pork with curried rice. DS loves this so I told him I would make it tonight. I really like it, too. He hates coleslaw (he hates cabbage) which is usually what is served with it so I will make salad and other vegetables.

He could live w/the boyfriend, but he'd never eat the mashed potatoes. Oh well. Guess he'll have to find someone he actually knows. hehe. leannec, I'm sorry that you're having a tough day. Your tribe is here for you. Glad you can do a fend night. Can you also do something that will be nurturing and pampering for yourself? newlywoods03, the looks on your children's faces when they first enter the park makes the whole trip worth it. My children were literally in aw w/open mouths. So happy for your family. Are you staying on the Disney Property?

I'm certainly not cooking much of late due to DH's stomach issues and my crazy schedule, but I do love checking in here every day to see the wonderful meals you all are making and find out what's going on. Depsite the fact we changed his BP meds, hubby is still having nausea and a bloating feeling. I'm about to jump on the nagging wagon (which I really try NOT to do) and get him to the doctor. For now, we continue to eat bland. Tonight? rice or toast? I'll eat the last beautiful pear and fend from the fridge. Hello Friday! I love to see you coming tomorrow!

We will be taking daughter to meet her grandparents so she can see her mom this weekend before basketball starts (she has tomorrow off). I mentioned on another thread that basketball practice will be Tuesdays and Thursdays - 7pm to 9pm!! I am usually heading to bed at 9. And this going on in the winter is going to kill us. Well, maybe not kill us, but we won't like it!
So, for dinner, it will be out and about. Leaving right when I get home.

Going to Red Robin to celebrate DIL's birthday. Yesterday my son made dinner from his HelloFresh box, and it was surprisingly not-so-tasty. First time that's happened to us. hmmm, maybe it had more to do with the chef than the recipes ...

We are having pasta with Italian sausage & spinach, spaghetti squash and focaccia bread. A friend of DH's is coming for the weekend and I'm not sure if he is going to be here for dinner or grab something in his way down from LAX.

He could live w/the boyfriend, but he'd never eat the mashed potatoes. Well in that case my DS and your DS could live together...... he won't eat mashed potatoes (or ANY potatoes, unless they're in the form of hot chips) either. Seriously, who doesn't like potatoes?

Dd picked up a grocery store rotisserie chicken breast which we had with butternut squash. There was rice and corn as well but I didn’t eat any of that. My diet, along with the rest of my life, has been off all week. I’m looking forward to a good night of sleep and the weekend!
