Like acorn squash?
Do you have a fancy dancy peeler? Or just throw it in the microwave for a few minutes.?
For an extra post bonus: I roasted acorn squash for dinner last night. My husband like it. The parrot and I didn't. We didn't even like it for lunch with maple syrup on it. The bird just glared hatefully at her plate.

I just use my regular peeler that i use for potatoes and carrots. I've never peeled acorn squash though, I usually cook that whole in the oven and cut it open. I often peel butternut squash.

I don't peel my acorn squash either. I usually cut it into slices and roast it with the skin on and let everyone take it off when it's served. I think with the ridges it would be too hard to peel. my other squash I use a knife or regular vegetable peeler.

I stab it with a knife multiple times, throw it in the microwave for a minute and peel it with a knife. I've found it works better to cut it in half and then peel it.

I had to google 'acorn squash' because it's not a variety of (what we refer to as) pumpkin that is sold here. I use my normal potato peeler to peel pumpkins. Sometimes for the ones that aren't nice and smooth like a butternut I will use a knife to cut the skin away. Every now and then I get a bit of arthritis in my thumbs, and it is so painful to peel pumpkins! I wish there was a fancy tool to make it easier.

If you don't like acorn squash sweet, you might like it better savory. My absolute favorite squash dish is winter squash (acorn, butternut, whatever) roasted and combined with bacon and shallots. Fry a few strips of bacon in a pan, remove the bacon and crumble it, leave some of the rendered bacon fat in the pan. Slice shallots into thin strips and fry in the same pan with the bacon fat. When the shallots are starting to crisp, toss with the roasted squash.
For acorn squash, I roast it in cut halves - with the peel on - and fill the hole with some of the bacon/shallot mixture and eat it like it's a bowl. For butternut squash, I peel with a vegetable peeler and toast it in cubes which get tossed with the bacon/shallot mixture. It's AMAZING.

My grocery store sells peeled, cubed butternut squash, and that is what I buy. I bake acorn squash and eat it with a bit of butter.

I don’t peel any squash. I wash the outside thoroughly and cut it in half and either roast it in the oven or steam it in the microwave, or hunk it up and cook it in the Instant Pot. Once it’s cooked it comes right out of the shell.
I like acorn squash with brown sugar and butter.

I just cut the squash in 2 and steam it in the microwave, then add butter and brown sugar to serve
