The Twittersphere lit up Thursday night when President Donald Trump's Twitter account was briefly deactivated -- an action "inadvertently" caused by a Twitter employee, the social media company said.
"Sorry, that page doesn't exist!" was the message that greeted visitors to Trump's Twitter page, @realdonaldtrump, for eleven minutes around 7 p.m. ET.
This employee deserves a pay rise it's just a shame that they corrected the action

So twitter says, but I wonder if it was something more nefarious that they're trying to cover up.

So twitter says, but I wonder if it was something more nefarious that they're trying to cover up. If they were trying to cover something up, I don’t think they’d choose a story that would get so much attention and be so easily disprovable. It would be much easier to manufacture a technical reason that no one would care about and everyone would move along. Now everyone is going to be obsessed with figuring out who it was and it is was fabricated... it would come out soon.

Best Headline of the century I think :- link Some of the comments and Gif's on there are hilarious 'You're hired!': Internet salutes Twitter employee who pulled plug on Trump
For 11 happy minutes Twitter users celebrated a Trump-free experience, heaping praise on the rogue staffer who shut down the US president Like the Christmas truce in the first world war trenches, for 11 serene minutes it seemed like peace and harmony had broken out on earth with the sudden suspension of Donald Trump’s Twitter account.

My DH heard that Twitter won't shut down his account (even though he has broken many of their rules) on purpose because it is bringing in millions of dollars of income for them.

The best thing Trump could do is break his cell phone. How the hell does he even still have a private cell phone anyways? Obama said he wasn't allowed to have a cell phone per security reasons, etc.
