I told someone I would send it to him this week, so of course, I procrastinated until now.
What is the take nowadays on two page resumes? I know the last time I did this (EONS ago!!!), if it was more than one page, it was looked down upon, unless it was a CV or highly technical. But I'm having a helluva time compressing 20 years of work skills and experience into one page. ARGH!
So, do I compress it down, or let it go to two pages?

With 20 years of experience, you're fine with 2 pages. Just make sure you're hitting the high points and not cramming in every detail (especially if it's not relevant to the position you're applying for).

Thanks so much! The position is pretty similar to what I have now. My company was sold, and things are going south, and someone I know who runs a similar firm asked me to send it along to see if I would be a good fit with his group. (And I'd be 100% remote. No more driving 30 miles one way several times a week. YAY!)

Go with the two pages if you need to, I've been seeing some resumes lately that turn out to leave out a lot of relevant detail/positions for the sake of having it be one page.

I'm part-time remote now, but still have to go in 2 or 3 days a week.

If you are submitting an electronic resume to an Applicant Tracking System, it won't count pages. I am not sure if that's the case for you, though.
