Down to the last 3 or 4 weeks of the regular season. Boy, did it go by quickly! LSU hosts the Arkansas Razorbacks in an early game ~ 9AM out here! LSU typically doesn't play as well in the morning games so hopefully they can bring their A game for the Battle of the Boot!!

Oklahoma has a huge game this week against TCU at home. The Sooners must win out to have any chance of making the playoffs.
Coach Lincoln Riley and quarterback Baker Mayfield have been on social media asking the fans to come out this week and be really really loud.
Almost as important, it’s chilli cookoff week at our tailgate!

If you are a Georgia Bulldog fan, each week is getting more fun and a bit more stressful. The Bulldogs will be down in Auburn on Saturday. Already looking forward to the game. cadoodlebug, I guess your tailgating food will be breakfast food this week! |

We are looking forward to some good football this weekend! DH's Miss State Bulldogs will be playing Bama in Starkville. Hopefully they can hold their own. It would be fantastic to be the ones to upset Bama this year! Ole Miss is playing UL Lafayette (formerly USL when I attended there). Not expecting much. This just isn't our year for football.  Texas Tech is playing Baylor and will hopefully win. They've been so close on a few games this year. A win Saturday would at least even their W-L score. If you are a Georgia Bulldog fan, each week is getting more fun and a bit more stressful. The Bulldogs will be down in Auburn on Saturday. Already looking forward to the game. This is the other game we are looking forward to, although we will be yelling War Eagle! This is my favorite kind of football...two top rated SEC teams. |

this is the ONE week I pay attention to a college football game - the annual Monon Bell Game between DePauw University Tigers and Wabash College Little Giants. DH and will never agree on the outcome and have good fun with it.

I just got back from the PSU-Rutgers game. Thankfully we won - we needed that after two very disappointing losses to Ohio State and Michigan State. Those losses definitely put a damper on the season for those fans who thought we had a chance of making the playoffs. I was a bit more realistic (my husband calls it negative  ) so I wasn't quite so invested, although it sure would have been nice to keep our run going. Oh well. Onward. (Side note and a mom brag here - last week's game wasn't too much on my radar because we were in New York City for the weekend, cheering on my daughter in the NYC Marathon. I'm very proud of her!) |

LSU retained the Golden Boot after beating the Hogs 33-10. Auburn beating Georgia is making us look good since we beat Auburn.  |

We figure by the time they play each other we are going to be essentially looking like the under 5s soccer kids where everyone is trying to find the ball and just running around in circles trying to remember which direction they are supposed to run. My kids were on those U-5 teams. Don't forget the part about stopping to look at a dandelion on the field! Sorry about your teams. I am a happy Sooner fan this morning. Oklahoma 38 TCU 20. TCU had the best defense we’ve played all year. The homefield advantage really helped us. I’m afraid we might have to play TCU again in the Big 12 Championship game (assuming we can beat Kansas and a very tough West Virginia team in the next two weeks to put us in the Big 12 Championship game).
I’m sure we’ll be in the top 4 this week, but it’s a long road to the playoffs.
