Have you ever had to change a flight reservation on Southwest? Was it easy? Difficult?

I fly Southwest for work all the time and regularly change my flights last minute. It's super easy--you can do it through the app from the back of a cab. And the great thing about Southwest is no change fees--you just have to pay any fare difference.

I am not a flyer - at all. But I just had to change a flight for a visit and was surprised at how easy it was.

I do it all the time, especially when prices drop! Does it just become a credit in your account?

Does it just become a credit in your account? Sort of. They issue you a credit that's tied to the flight confirmation that you are receiving the credit on. When you purchase your next ticket, you simply plug in that same flight confirmation number and the credit will be applied to your new ticket. The only limitations are that the credit can't be applied to a different passenger and the credit must be used within a year from the initial ticket purchase.
