Just like the title suggests. It's looking like it is going to be a cold winter here in the PNW, and I have a lot of outdoor obligations. I have one pair of fleece-lined leggings that I love, but they aren't available anymore. I want them to be thick enough to be wearable as pants (the one inexpensive pair I bought on Zulily a few years ago are really just tights, and I want to be able to wear these as pants) (I know, you say leggings aren't pants, whatever, you know what I mean). Any recommendations for a pair that is on the more affordable side? If sizing matters, I'm average height and thin-ish.

Maurices has some, but I would check TJMaxx or Marshalls' first. I found some for $4.99 last week and they are really warm.

Cuddle duds makes clothes that are not for underneath? Are they totally opaque? I put my hand inside some of the ones at Kohl's and I could still see some skin. But they may have different styles. They did feel soft, though, so if they are not see through in any way, that would be great. Although the price wasn't what I would call cheap, IIRC.

I just bought some last week at Walmart. They came on a single hanger with two pair for $12. I got black and a patterned grey tone pair. I haven't worn them yet, but the look to be very nice. They have a thick waistband that should be really comfortable too. And for $6 bucks a pair, I thought it was a superb deal.

I bought some cuddle duds at Kohl's, and they were definitely not opaque, even though I'd bought them thinking they were lol. Comfy for sleeping though!

I wanted leggings for sleeping. I hate when my clothes shift around in bed. I was surprised at how thick and warm (and cheap) these are. The description says plush lined, but I'd say they're the same as fleece lined. Leggings
Not sure why the link is going to NFL stuff. Search for A&L Plush leggings.

I got some at Costco. Two pair for $15. Definitely the least fashionable clothing purchase I've ever made, but for walking the dog they're great!

LOL! I was at a Redskins FB game yesterday and it was 5 hours sitting in 40 degree weather. I had fleece leggings on.

I was just at Uniqlo. They had at least two types of leggings that are good for cold weather.

There's actually quite a few ShopKo's in my area.

Thanks, everyone! I really like the looks of the ones I saw on the Shopko site linked, and I will also check Costco during my next trip.

SO glad I read this thread!!! DS27 just bought the most comfy comforter set in Kohl's by Cuddle Duds. I had no idea that they made clothes too!! I'm going to Kohl's this week to use my birthday Kohl's $$ to look for those fleece leggings!! (No matter if they're opaque or not, I always wear a shirt or sweater that's over my butt so there's no Kardashian-fashion-flaw.)
