hi
my sister is just about to have a baby. And we both scrapbook and pl. When my nephews were born we didn't scrapbook
just looking for some photo promts of ones for her for her pl that I can take sneakily so she has them later and it's not all just shots of a baby in a pram or someone's arms and no photos of my sister
any photos you wish you had gotten with your baby?

My advice is look at Inkie Quills latest process videos. She has a new baby and she’s the queen of taking all the pictures so sure she has it covered.
I also love Caylee Grey on instagram - she has a gorgeous new baby and posts great photos all the time.

I pre made baby scrapbooks for each of my dgk's who were born after I started scrapbooking. The moms had no problem filling in the first few pages with pic's: the birth, coming home, meeting family, first bath... The baby is not engaged that much, but the expressions on the people whose arms the baby is held are priceless. Photos with Mom and Dad and grandparents are a must.
They also had lots of photos for the last section, which was reserved for the first birthday.
I organized the rest of the book--between these two sections--month by month, and provided journaling cards to highlight milestones reached in each month. My ddil's had a little more trouble with this section, b/c it is a very buy time, and although lots of photos were taken of the baby as he/she smiled and rolled over, and put a toe in the mouth, and started standing and walking, those photos did not get scrapped right away, so it was hard to decide which photos should go on which month's pages.
The only suggestion I would have for newborn book is to get a photo of the hospital sign, and the OUTSIDE of their home. My kids have moved their families several times, so it would be nice to have a photo to say "This is where we lived when you were born."

I've made "first year" albums for new parents. I start with the birth month then do "firsts". First 4th of July, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween and so on. I also do some general pages for pics with family. I make them 8x8 so it only takes a pic or 2 to fill the pages.

LOL, DD had a comment about this: boobs! hahaha She was telling me a story about when Kristen Bell filming CHiPs. She put off nursing one day until a cleavage baring scene was done being shot so her boobs would be bigger in the swimsuit. "Honey, I get these one time. I want a lot of cleavage." Sounds like good advice to me. Tell your sister should make sure she gets in some photos showing off her nursing cleavage. link to an article I found

Start your free trial on Big Picture Classes (with a ghost account if necessary) and take this class about documenting a newborn. And don't forget an alarm on your phone to make sure you cancel your membership before your trial ends. And enjoy your new family member!
