The thread about the tackle/tool boxes makes me ask - What are your "gotta have" its when you go to a crop? I always take this stadium seat. It turns the awful chairs usually provided into something I can sit in for hours.

Love that seat, gramma! I wouldn't mind one to take to watch dgks' hockey games. I like to stand when I scrap, and a weekend sitting in a chair or bending over a regular sized table can be murder on my back. My dd stands to work on her computer and has purchased a little table to sit on her desk top to do that. This is not a photo of her, but her setup is much like THISI might invest in one just to take to crops!

You could buy or make some leg extenders I've seen quilters use them. The homemade version of them is a a tall block of wood like a fence post that has a large hole bored into the center of it.

But as I "age" I tend to switch between sitting and standing. I might have to get one of those to pack along with me.

I have used this pillow for about 4 years at crops. I keep it in the back of my SUV. I even use it on padded chairs and it is wonderful. There are cheaper versions of it out there, but this one works. It is $39.99 on Amazon.

Gramma, do you have a link or a name for that chair? Love the color! While I mostly stand to scrap, at a 4 day retreat I will sit for a while to rest and that sounds like a perfect solution!

I have been bringing a fan that I put on the floor and face toward me because I can't stand being hot. I also find the sound of the fan helps me focus on what I'm doing and not get pulled in to listening to other's loud conversations.

I found mine for under $20 (it's navy). I was wonderful. I have taken it to three crops so far and it lives in my car also.

OTT travel light, same cushion as posted above, drink/trash holder to attach to table, and one of the Sterlite 12x12, 3-drawer containers. It holds most of my little tools and embellishments, inks, stamps, etc. in the drawers and makes them super easy to locate, use and put away one handed. I put my ATG and trimmer on top when I am not using them.

a three plug grounded extension cord so I have electricity at my own table for my light, my cutting machine, heat tool, heat setter, chargers, computer or anything else that needs electricity. I have been to crops that say they proved electricity, but usually several tables share an outlet strip-I need more that one thing plugged in!
A cushion or pillow for my chair and a small pillow for lumbar support.
slippers
drink holder
ott light
rolling tote (or two)

This may sound crazy but my must haves for crops are pre-planned, pre-cut LO's and my zero-centering ruler.
For years I went to crops and never seemed to get much done. I had plenty to work on, but I always seemed to cut things wrong or mess up somehow. I was socializing (which is part of the fun of a crop) not able to concentrate and not really accomplishing anything. At a crop I went to a couple of months ago I didn't get anything done in four hours. So I started planning, cutting, journaling, and even matting things for a LO. When everything is done except adhering I stick everything including a sketch of the LO in a 12 x 12 file folder and hold it until the next crop (I host a crop at the library every month). The when crop time comes all I have to do is grab my folders, adhesive, and zero-centering ruler. Makes it quick to pack and I actually get something done at crops now.
I use the zero-centering ruler on almost every LO to place pictures, titles, and embellishments.

I put 50-2 pagers together that day. I walked out with two complete albums (minus journaling). They were for gifts, and I had my poop in a group.
