With a neck that's not too tight. A few weeks ago I ran into Target and bought two ordinary men's sweatshirts to wear around the house. I have just ripped one off my body and flung it into the goodwill bag. Its partner will follow. 😳The neck is too tight and on top of that the edges of the neckline are rough. I thought I'd go crazy until it was off my body! Ugh
Tell me about your ultra soft sweatshirt with a wider neck that won't break the bank. (I don't want much, do I? 😜 ) Yes I could go around to a bunch of stores and feel all the sweatshirts. But it would be so much less stressful to order online. Lol

I bought a Cuddle Duds off of QVC on a whim. OMG- best purchase ever! So, so, so soft. I bought it on sale so I have no real idea of how much they cost.

I would try the Hanes crewnecks in the men's section at Walmart. I've used them for parts of costumes before and they're comfy!

I just bought one at Kohls last weekend, its more of a thin fuzzy fleece than normal sweatshirt, but I hate a tight neck too & I love this shirt. So much that I bought it in 2 different colours. The one I bought was regular size but it comes in plus & petite as well Sonoma sweatshirt

I'm wearing a guy's under armour sweat shirt that I got at tjmaxx last year - $19.99. They may have them again this year if you're in there at some point. Nike also makes a soft sweat shirt.

Oh was just in La Senza and there was the softest pj tops that looked more like thin sweatshirts. I’m thinking I should have bought one.

Very soft, well made and most important, comfortable!

I have one from Athleta that is super soft. The one I bought (the cinch sweatshirt) is not available there anymore, but if you look on their site, they have a ton of sweatshirts that are labelled as "super soft" and really are (and they do not have tight necks).

I just bought one from Target that I am in love with. It is more of a Jersey than a traditional sweatshirt fleece. It is soooo soft! I got in in an XL so it would be roomy and comfortable. Just search ‘allergic to mornings’ sweatshirt on the website. $18

Have you looked at Loft? They also carry the Lou and Grey line and they may have something. It isn't Target cheap but they have 40% off sales pretty often.

I solve the problem by getting zip front hoodies. I used to wear crewneck sweatshirts every day in the wintertime, but now I get too warm and can’t stand having anything so tight around my neck. I like to be able to just unzip it or put it on and off without having to yank it over my head day in and day out.
But anyway, I digress! I have some from Kohl’s that I believe are Tek Gear and they’re very soft. I liked the first one so much I went back and bought another one. I’m sure they have a pullover version of these too. Another really soft one I have is a Calvin Kline sweatshirt that I got at Herberger’s Outlet, so the regular Herberger’s store would have to have them since the outlet is all overstock sent in from the regular stores.

The thing is, I've always bought these and loved them. They came in some basic colors, were inexpensive, were warm, and had that fuzzy inside. So I KNOW they've changed manufacturers or something because I'm quite sure I would have remembered the rough tight neck.

American Eagle has some soft sweatshirts. I was there the other day looking for clothes for my son but saw that they have some super soft sweatshirts for women. I didn't try them on, though.

I was just in American Eagle with my dd and they have a line of what they call SuperSoft clothing. The sweatshirts are absolutely the softest thing I have ever felt. They are $30 but you buy one, get one 50% off.
ETA: Ha! I just saw the post above me. Great minds!

I would probably just cut the neckline off if I liked the rest of the shirt.

I would probably just cut the neckline off if I liked the rest of the shirt. I thought of that since it's just an ordinary around-the-house sweatshirt. But since they're practically brand-new I thought I'd donate to our local clothing bank and let someone else get use out of them.

You should like "Just Posted" on Facebook. She posts a lot of super soft clothing, including sweatshirts, that are available at stores like Target, American Eagle, Loft, etc. A bonus is that she posts a lot when the items go on sale, so super soft clothes at a discount!

Go to Marshalls or TJ Maxx and try to find an Alternative Apparel sweatshirt. They are the softest. They are a bit pricey on their site, but you may be able to get a discount with signing up or they usually have black friday sales. www.alternativeapparel.com/But I have found them at Marshalls from time to time. And they are cozy and warm.
