Both have Bluetooth, but to get info on and control it from your phone/iPad you have to be close enough to maintain the connection. The model that also has WiFi allows you to control it and get info from it wherever you are connected to the internet - even at work.
The model with wifi is also a little more powerful. 900 watts as opposed to 800, so it will heat your water a little faster.
