It's my favorite thing to do and just get into my zone with from now until Christmas day. That "looking forward to" how the gifts are going to turn out and the feeling it gives the giftees once they are opened. I've decided what I'm going to do this year and I'm going to have a workshop on it so others can make them too, because I want to share that exciting feeling that I have a hard time to put into words but know how to create. I'm actually going to make one for myself too to use all throughout the whole next year. They are going to be altered daily planners, and I'm going to organize them in a way where the first day of the year starts on the first day of spring. And I'm going to have places where they can journal. The first season will be a time to write about new beginnings to create and grow since spring is a time where nature rebirths. Summer a time to hold space and enjoy what blooms and blossoms and to share it and celebrate the expansion (the season of flourish). Fall, a time to reflect and go deeper into these experiences. (a season of clearing out and going in) And winter will be a time of gratitude for all that has been re-birthed and explored throughout the whole 4-season cycle (a season of slowing down and taking it all in) I'm actually ideaing up as I type There will be lists of activities they can participate for each season (like a time to clear out clutter during fall) and space where they can use the planner traditionally, like writing in dates of appointments. But each day I will have some type of question that invites reflection to write about. I'm creating these planners to celebrate what I feel to be more of a natural cycle of time as well as ways to be more present and take more out of each day than just the expected, but to see what surprises there are. Do you love that feeling of inspiration and being creative?

I'm sure they will be well received. They sound wonderful.

The Christmas season that I enjoyed the most was the one where we didn't have the money to spend on Christmas presents, so I made them.
They all loved what I made, and I really enjoyed seeing how the gifts turned out.
The hardest thing is deciding what to give. Once you get a good idea, it is so much fun.
I am sure that your gift recipients will love what you are making for them, but you are probably the one who will enjoy this season the most.

I love that feeling as I make each of my 125 Christmas cards, knowing they are going to other card makers and scrappers I have known for a long time or recently. Even though most I have never met in person.

Those planners sound like a lot of work. I hope the recipients love them as much as you do. My family calendars are much simpler than this, but it brings me joy to see them hung up in my kids' homes with the monthly photo displayed and the big spaces filled with all their appointments and their kids' hockey games and other events throughout the year.
Making gifts for others is indeed a joy filled process. But then, I also enjoy the hunt through stores and on line for that perfect gift for a person on my list as well.

I love making gifts! So far, everyone has enjoyed them. I don't know what I'll do for this year yet.

I love making gifts too, and I try to do something handmade every year. This year I knit two adorable hats that I am donating to our local firefighter toy drive and DD likes them so much I’m hoping I can get one done for her as well. I’d love to do more but Christmas is coming so quickly I’m not sure if there is enough time to get anything else going!

There is nothing I love more than gifting one of my crocheted afghans. It makes me feel really good to put my time and effort into a gift that I know someone will love. Your planners sound great! I'm sure they will be loved.
