We are having roasted chicken thighs, loaded scalloped potatoes, and mixed veggies. Dessert is banana muffins.

Is it possible to describe the taste of Talapia please? I keep seeing it on the fish counter but have never tried it and would like to but it isn't an inexpensive fish here so am hesitant about getting some just to try. It's a very mild fish. The only one I've been able to convince my picky kids to eat. We primarily make tacos w/it. I need to broaden our horizons . . . First day of school for my HS freshman and first full day of classes for my kid at the CC, so we're celebrating w/pizza. Thank you, I will definitely try it now that I know it's got your kids seal of approval!

I am either going to grab a chicken at Wal-Mart or buy some sausage and make breakfast for dinner with eggs and sweet rolls. Decisions, decisions....

Tilapia is bomb. Especially for fish tacos. I think I may make chicken fried rice and egg rolls for dinner. I get off at five and dh is supposed to take chicken out of the freezer for me.

I'm going to my Grandma's for dinner and conversation. I'm taking marinated NY Strip, Roasted Parm Potatoes, cheesey garlic bread and bacon sauted green beans. For dessert I have a German Plum Cake with fresh cinnamon nutmeg whipped cream. Can I be your Grandma? Lordy that all sounds so good!! DS has band practice tonight so it's grilled cheese sandwiches and strawberries at our house.

Yesterday I smoked a chicken using my new smoking device. My propane gave out, so I tried finishing it in the oven. Unfortunately, I glazed it too soon, and the chicken wasn't completely done. At that point, I gave up and put the chicken in the fridge and did something else for dinner.
So, tonight we're have Smoked BBQ Chicken, part 2. LOL
I pulled the meat off and stuck it in the crockpot with sauce. We'ew going to have Mac n cheese and green beans with it.

I made a Mexican Croissant roll ring using the leftover chicken from last nights dinner. I made some Italian garlic rice from a box to go with it

I am having cucumbers and vinegar for dinner. It's hot and I have a ton of cleaning to do. I know if I eat something yummy and filling my motivation will be zapped.

I had to work late due to an event at work, so my husband made us omelets. He used leftover ribs along with onion, peppers, mushrooms, and cheese. I was really skeptical about the meat from the ribs, but they turned out really good. Had a wonderful rich smoky flavor.

I know this is my third post in here today and I apologize for that, but I just wanted to add that I bought mini burger buns, so we'll be having cheeseburger sliders. Yum! Plus artichokes and I guess some roasted potatoes or maybe crash hot potatoes. hmmm, I guess I'd better start cooking.

I made one pot pasta tonight with linguine, vegetarian sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms and tomatoes. I had planned a much more intensive dinner but I'm in a lot of pain today from sciatica and couldn't deal with any more cooking than that.

I saw a bunch of people already described talapia better then I could have. I agree it is a mild fish. It's our favorite fish at my house. It's one of the cheaper fishes where I live.

Sloppy Joes, crispy crowns, and I made cole slaw for a green thing. Devoured by entire family, including home-just-for-dinner daughter!

Thank you so much, hearing that your family like it is a good recommendation so I am going to try this now! It's not a commonly used fish here, at least in my part of England, so tends to be quite expensive and I've been a little wary of buying fish I've never tried before and don't come across often.
