Thank you, Gale! I've been wanting to buy SCAL ever since I got my Brother Scan N Cut, but I'm so new and inexperienced using it I was reluctant to purchase it at the full price. That price is such a good deal I could not resist. Merry Christmas to me. LOL Thanks so much for the heads-up!

I didn't know they still made this! I have the old version that works for Cricut, before it became illegal.

Oh, I always wanted one of those back in the day! I don't even know what they work with now. Nice deal.

Soooo - if I have a Silhouette do I need SCAL? Need no, but some people prefer SCAL to Silhouette Studio. I used to use SCAL 2 with my old cricut but haven't bothered with it since I got my Cameo as SSDE does everything I need. Not sure how the features of SCAL 4 compare to SS 4.1. What version of Silhouette Studio are you using? SaveSave

I haven’t used SCAL since I had my original cricut years ago! Since I’ve owned a silhouette (and I had one before the original Cameo), I’ve only used silhouette software. I prefer it.

I have SS v3. I'm thinking of SCAL. I used to have it to drive my cricut and really liked it. I'm always worried SS will change in ways I don't like or will stop working at some point when Silhouette decides to force me to upgrade. Do they ever do that? Or can you run old versions of SS indefinitely?

I have Makes the Cut. How does SCAL compare? Are they constantly improving it! Mine hasn't had any upgrades in a long time. I have an older version of it that I can still use with my cricut. I use it with my Silouette as well. Don't even no how to use the Silouette program.

I had SCAL with my Cricut ages ago. It was so easy to use, I absolutely loved it. I don't get along nearly as well with Silhouette Studio. I'll have to check into it to see if I can use it with my Silhouette Portrait.
