Around here tailgating for football starts between 4 and 5am. I’ll drink either mimosas or a Bloody Mary. Those are my AM alcoholic drinks. That is the craziest thing. I can't imagine needing to set my alarm to start drinking. you set your alarm to go get setup and find a parking space. you drink when you get there because you've set your alarm so early to go find a parking space that it feels like the middle of the day and youre tailgating.

When I was in college I started a tradition of cracking open a bottle of Champagne upon awakening on my birthday—of course, awakening in college wasn’t all that early... Otherwise, the usual Bloody Mary or mimosa in the am for brunch. I like to drink but I don’t like to start in the morning because I have to walk etc. and it depresses me to be useless all day.

Mimosas in the morning so between 8 and 10am. I have also had beer or margaritas around 11am to 12pm when on a lunch date with dh or out with friends.
At home? If I would like a drink in the evening I like to make sure dh is home from work because we have 2 medical complex, asd kids and if something were to happen I wouldn't be able to drive.

I don't love mimosas, prefer a Bloody Mary. Sparkling wines or champagne are served sometimes.
No one around here blinks an eye at these in the morning, or considers it drinking.
Beer or margaritas at lunch happen too.

Beer at 7:00am before a race. Mimosas earlier than that.

In my early twenties, I was in the Army and living in Germany. It took me no time upon arrival to realize I had a slight problem. They don't drink water in Germany and I never cared for soda, juice was super expensive, and I could stomach the shelf life milk. Beer it was.
I initially said I wouldn't have beer before 5pm. That lasted until my first day of work and at lunch I had nothing to drink, so I ordered a beer and changed my beer drinking start time to noon. Within a week or two I had changed it again to no beer before 7am, if I was out past 4am the night before. So yeah, I started having beer with breakfast. I'm glad that in that 2.5 years I didn't form a permanent beer in the morning habit. LOL.

They don't drink water in Germany Um, really? Everyone here drinks water. Maybe not tap water, but there are more varieties of bottled water here than I have ever seen.

Baileys in my morning coffee on most weekends I love Baileys in my coffee. It was a lake morning tradition for us for years. I miss the lake house. 😉

sueg This was 30+ years ago in a small town. We didn't have the ubiquitous bottles of water everywhere, and other than on base, no one asked for water. The Germans looked at us as if we were nuts when we asked and would comment that there is no ice either.

I'm totally a mimosa girl! I never turn down champagne when it's offered with OJ! 😉

Probably around 1030 am, while tailgating. OK I have to ask! What is “tailgating”?

Mimosas for brunch (late morning) I have also had whipped cream vodka in my hot chocolate when I am being scrappy with my friends (retreat).
In general I don't drink much.
Cheers!

Probably around 1030 am, while tailgating. OK I have to ask! What is “tailgating”? The tradition of grilling and picnicking in the parking lot before a football game. It probably started with pulling the tailgate of your truck down to use as a table/serving or cooking surface but has expanded to RVs, pop up tents and full size grills, etc.

Just had some Baileys in my coffee this morning. I mean heck it is Grey Cup weekend. During the holiday season we quite often start our day with Baileys in our coffee. I have also had mimosas and ceasars way before noon if the occasion arises.

Mimosa's on super early flights. Drinks at the pool around 10 on vacay. Weekends in the winter I often have Baileys in my coffee in the morning. Sounds good right about now.

Ummm, I'm guessing y'all aren't talking about those nights where you went out on Friday night and just didn't stop until after the football games the next day?? Because in those days, there pretty much was no delineation between night, morning, and day. These days, I am much more sedate in my drinking habits.

Irish coffee, Mimosas and Bloody Marys are perfectly acceptable in the morning. 😉

What is whipped cream vodka? I’m curious. I drink my coffee black but I think I might check into a little Bailey’s. Could make Christmas Morning interesting. I do love a mimosa or Bloody Mary when on vacation.

It really does. If it is a noon game you have to be in line well before the gates open and we start drinking once we are in line. They take tailgating serious in KC.

I was on the ski team in college - in Ohio, so we didn't take it all that seriously. We would sometimes bring a keg to our meets, which started quite early; I seem to remember about 7:00 am. Beer and donuts - breakfast of champions!

dh and I were just saying we buy alcohol like actual drinkers but don't drink nearly as much as we shop. We need to up our game.
I have a drink in the morning if it's winter and I'm cozying up for a lazy day, if we brunch, and if I have an early night I'm 100% that girl having a vodka cranberry at 6am and I'm not ashamed. ha.

DH and I are a little time zone nuts at the moment. We never, ever, turn down the bubbles (with or without OJ) offered on boarding a flight.
That being said, we had whisky with glacier ice after a Zodiac beach landing in Patagonia- hard liquor at about 7am! It's a slippery slope...

Um, in my teens/early 20’s we didn’t sometimes stop drinking until 7 am.
Now maybe a Bloody Mary once a year before 10 am.
