I have to send my DD a couple of boxes of clothing and shoes. I haven't really ever shipped anything like this. What would be the least expensive way to go about it? Thanks!

How much does it weigh and how big is it? And how soon does she need it? Generally speaking USPS is cheaper for smaller/lighter items. Flat rate boxes (USPS) is better for small heavy stuff (probably not clothes). Bigger/heavier stuff is sometimes better with UPS/FedEx. My suggestion would be to weigh/measure the box and go to their websites and price it out each will allow you get an estimate for prices and arrival dates.

The least expensive method with USPS for a large, heavy box is USPS Retail Ground (Parcel Post). That method will work for up to 70 lbs. If using FedEx, check out SmartPost. It's a lower cost version of FedEx shipping because they hand off the final delivery to the USPS. Again, the limit is 70 lbs. If you look online you should be able to get cost estimates for both methods once you know the weight of your package.

At one time the bus companies would accept large boxes to ship from one bus station to another.
I have no idea if that is still possible.

I like this site if I already have things boxed and ready. Put in box dimensions, weight, to and from zip codes and it give you rates from most big shipping places..USPS, UPS, FedEx. shipgooder.com/#/ |

I call it "banana boat", but it's the slower USPS shipment. Great for packages that you don't need there in 2-3 days. I think it's sent ground and it's usually less than a week. I just tell them banana boat and they know what I want.  |
