Jonathan Atler....
“Democrats will rue the day they demanded @alfranken resign. They’ve given into the conflation of crimes (Weinstein, Moore) and power abuse (bosses) with boorishness. It won’t get more women voters and will lose more anti- PC men. Sucker’s game.”
Prompted this response Mama Allyson....
“Im a woman voterb & I'm more disgusted by the Dems than I am by Franken. So many men have done worse. Should they all lose their jobs? Repent, make amends, move on and make a difference. Hiis resignation accomplishes nothing but show case female senators with higher aspirations.”
IMO both are right.

Southpaw....
“Personally I don't think we ought to be scouring FBI agents' personal text messages for 2016 political opinions, but if Republicans are so gung-ho about that project let's subpoena the NY field office's phone records and see what we find.”
What Southpaw is talking about is during the election it was thought that someone in the NY Field Office was leaking information to the trump campaign.

Wouldn't put it past them..........Manhattan DA with large contributions let Ivanka and Jared off the hook for the Soho mess, but gave Weinstein his monies back and is pursuing a case against him.

Just an observation about what happened today at the hearing with the Director of the FBI and the Republicans in your face attempt to get at and stop Mueller so they can protect trump. If they succeed that one action could really tear this country apart. What did I miss? What happened today?

Ex-Ethics director to file second ethics complaint against Conway BY JOHN BOWDEN - 12/07/17 09:17 PM EST A former director of the Office of Government Ethics (OGE) announced Thursday that he is filing a second ethics complaint against White House counselor Kellyanne Conway over Conway's repeated statements about the Alabama Senate race. Walter Shaub said that he would file his second complaint against Conway in a month after he says she appeared to violate the Hatch Act with her statements against Democrat Doug Jones, who is running against controversial GOP candidate Roy Moore for Alabama's Senate seat. “The willfulness of Conway’s violation and her openly expressed disdain for efforts to hold her accountable for complying with ethics requirements make clear that anything less than removal from the federal service or a lengthy unpaid suspension will not deter future misconduct on her part,” Shaub said in a statement Thursday. The Campaign Legal Center, where Shaub is a senior director, added in the statement that Conway should "be removed from office or given a lengthy suspension without pay" over the perceived violations. The Hatch Act bars federal officials from trying to influence elections. Shaub's statement comes after Conway on Wednesday reiterated President Trump's endorsement of Moore while attacking Jones."The only endorsement that matters in this race is President Trump's," Conway said. "And he came out questioning the ideology and the vote of Doug Jones. He'll be a reliable vote for tax hikes. He'll be a reliable vote against border security. He'll be a reliable vote against national security and keeping ISIS in retreat. He'll be the reliable vote against the Second Amendment and against lifeMore at link: thehill.com/homenews/administration/363895-ex-ethics-director-to-file-second-ethics-complaint-against-conwayWouldn't be upset for her to be gone..................

Just an observation about what happened today at the hearing with the Director of the FBI and the Republicans in your face attempt to get at and stop Mueller so they can protect trump. If they succeed that one action could really tear this country apart. What did I miss? What happened today? they had Christopher Ray (? I think that's his name- the head of the FBI) in front of a Congressional panel, and they were grilling him about people working in Mueller's investigative team-- wanting to know if they were anti-Trump or have ever been heard to utter anti-Trump sentiments, because they're trying to find reasons to say they're not doing their job with impartiality. They're trying to figure out how to discredit career FBI employees... even to the point of asking about specific people- Q: 'have you ever heard so-and-so say anything anti-Trump?' A: 'no' Q: 'what about so-and-so?' A: 'no' As if they can't be trusted to leave their personal political opinions at the door and do their jobs-- it almost seemed like they could be implying the FBI couldn't be trusted to not make up information, or fabricate evidence... it seems like they're trying anything they can to find some reason to discredit Mueller and his team. ^^^ when I heard about that grilling on MSNBC this evening, all I could think about was how similar it sounded to the stuff I've heard about Senator McCarthy's 'Un-American' Communist witch-hunts...

I think they were going for the 'they're biased, therefore the investigation is tainted' angle. I hope it does NOT gain any traction.

Trump admin scraps Obama-era proposal requiring airlines to disclose bag feesBY MELANIE ZANONA - 12/08/17 12:06 PM EST The Trump administration has scrapped an Obama-era proposal requiring airlines and ticket agencies to disclose baggage fees as soon as passengers start the process of buying a ticket. ********* And while airlines are required to disclose to federal regulators how much money they make from baggage fees, they are not required to report how much they charge for “optional” services, such as carry-on bags, seat selection and priority boarding, which have grown in recent years. ************ The DOT’s effort to kill the pair of Obama-era proposals drew ire from Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), who has been one of the leading voices in Congress pushing for airline consumer protections “Unbelievable. Pulling the plug on rules that would ensure airlines are open and honest about bag fees and other charges is about as anti-consumer as it gets,” Blumenthal tweeted. “The Trump Admin’s reckless reversal is a gift for the airlines’ bottom line — and a slap in the face for travelers who deserve clarity when buying a ticket." thehill.com/policy/transportation/363956-trump-admin-scraps-obama-era-proposal-requiring-airlines-to-discloseOnly solution, read the FINE print! But they may still show the prices up front.

Pensacola rally, in which a sitting President called for people to vote for an accused pedophile, while people chanted "lock her up", while 4 of his campaign/admin staff are charged w/felonies. I believe you can see Trump walking out in the center bottom, lest people believe it was taken "early".

Florida bars O'Keefe from fundraising in the stateBY JOSH DELK - 12/09/17 10:43 AM EST Florida has barred James O'Keefe, a conservative activist and founder of an organization that targets reporters and liberal groups through undercover investigations, from fundraising in the state, The Washington Post reported Friday. O'Keefe, who was previously convicted in Louisiana for entering a U.S. senator's office with two men posing as phone repairmen, will not be allowed to fundraise in Florida due to a law that prevents people found guilty of fraud and other crimes from soliciting donations from residents. New York threatened last week to ban O'Keefe's group Project Veritas from raising money in that state over the founder's criminal conviction and failure to file certain documents with officials. A Florida official told the Post they had informed Project Veritas that O'Keefe's conviction falls within "disqualifying offenses" under Florida law. Here's a video view while he's talking. Shows mostly the lower stands right behind him (for the camera) and then the side facing him and on the sides reasonably full.
Not too encouraging for a place in the deep south w/in easy driving distance of LA, MS, AL, FL, GA.

Dem: Trump's reported habits would ‘get most Americans fired from their jobs’ BY JOSH DELK - 12/09/17 01:41 PM EST Democratic Rep. Don Beyer (Va.) said Saturday that newly reported details of President Trump's habits in office would "get most Americans fired from their jobs." "According to his own aides Trump watches 4-8 hours of TV every day, regularly fails to show up for work by 9-930 even after urging from both of his Chiefs of Staff, and spends many days golfing," Beyer tweeted, citing a new report from The New York Times."That would get most Americans fired from their jobs." Trump regularly watches cable news television and often references things being discussed on the programs when hitting back at political opponents on Twitter. Trump also regularly records his favorite cable news shows, including Fox News' "Fox & Friends" on a high-tech recording device installed for him in the White House, the Times reported.Trump has previously denied reports of his TV habits, saying that he is often too busy "reading documents." White House chief of staff John Kelly has also worked to strengthen Trump's work habits, reducing the president's free time and pushing Trump to arrive at work earlier, by 9 a.m. or 9:30 a.m., an effort previously undertaken by former chief of staff Reince Priebus, according to the Times. Beyer has ripped Trump in the past for going golfing at one of his resorts during the recovery efforts from Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico as many U.S. citizens faced dire conditions with no electricity or clean water. thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/364102-democrat-reported-trump-habits-would-get-most-americans-fired-fromNo wonder he gets nothing done!!

Trump's invitation to that civil rights museum should have been rescinded once they realized that the head of the NAACP wouldn't attend if he was invited. If he showed up anyway they should have barred him from entering.
Frankly, he (Trump) should never have been invited, period.
